Neat mountain hut with beautiful view. Great toilet. Simple, but well arranged for a snack and drink. Friendly service. Pay cash only.
W	Walter Crema on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima malga paesaggio stupendo, noi siamo partiti a piedi dall' ufficio informazioni turistiche di Virgen, tenendo le segnaletiche x la frazione Marin e poi su dalla strada forestale oppure dal bosco passando x una bellissima cappella a quota 1660m. Una volta arrivati ci siamo rilassati con birra zuppa e tagliere di speck. La ragazza molto gentile,i prezzi super economici. Posto stupendo meraviglioso!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful hut with wonderful landscape, we started on foot from the Virgen tourist information office, keeping the signs for the hamlet of Marin and then up from the forest road or from the woods passing x a beautiful chapel at an altitude of 1660m. Once we arrived we relaxed with beer soup and a platter of speck. Very nice girl, super cheap prices. Gorgeous gorgeous place !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you to the nice girls from the Alm, super hospitable. A really rustic hut, everything very authentic. Great view over the Virgental.
M	Martina Pilling-Paap on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Negativ Erlebnis des 14 tägigen Wanderurlaubs von Hinterbichl aus 30.08.2021 Wir (Rentner: Ü 80 und U 70, dazu zwei Hunde 12 und 10 Jahre) wandern bei mäßigem Wetter zur Gottschaunalm. Oben Regen und 6 °C. Freuen uns auf's Aufwärmen im Gastraum. Aussage der Bedienung: Ihr könnt die Hunde irgendwo draußen anbinden (kein Schutz) und dann im Gastraum Essen und Getränke genießen. Ja Leute: geht's noch? Das darf doch wohl nicht wahr sein!!!! Welcher Hundebesitzer will da sein Essen genießen? Unter Gastlichkeit verstehen wir definitiv was Anderes. Wir waren jeden Tag auf einer anderen Hütte und wenn das Wetter nicht so gepaßt hat, durften die Hunde i m m e r mit rein. Daher Bewertung: 0 Sterne Arbeitet mal an Eurem Auftreten und Service, wenn die Bedingungen nicht ideal sind! Hundebesitzer: Gottschaunalm unbedingt bei schlechterem Wetter meiden!!!! The negative experience of the 14 day hiking holiday from Hinterbichl 08/30/2021 We (pensioners: over 80 and under 70, plus two dogs 12 and 10 years old) hike to the Gottschaunalm in moderate weather. Rain and 6 ° C above. Looking forward to warming up in the guest room. Statement from the waitress: You can tie the dogs up somewhere outside (no protection) and then enjoy food and drinks in the guest room. Yes people: are you still okay? This can not be true!!!! Which dog owner wants to enjoy their food there? We definitely understand hospitality as something different. We were in a different hut every day and when the weather wasn't right, the dogs were always allowed in. Therefore rating: 0 stars Work on your appearance and service when the conditions are not ideal! Dog owners: Avoid Gottschaunalm in bad weather !!!!

Das Speisenangebot ist überschaubar, entsprechend waren wir enttäuscht, dass das einzige warme Gericht (Tagessuppe) wohl aus dem Packerl kam. Besser selber eine jause mitnehmen und die wunderbare Aussicht bei einem Getränk genießen. Very beautiful and well-kept Alm. The range of dishes is manageable, so we were disappointed that the only warm dish (soup of the day) came out of the pack. It's better to take a snack yourself and enjoy the wonderful view with a drink.

This Alm is simply a feast for the eyes - many beautiful flowers around the Alm. Homemade dishes were all very tasty. You are welcome to linger here.

Es kann passieren, dass man den Ein oder Anderen Holunderlikör zu viel trinkt. Wonderful Alm, it is worthwhile to linger here longer. Food manageable but sufficient and fair prices. It can happen that you drink one or the other elderberry liqueur too much.
G	Georgio K. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein wundervoller Ort. Nach einem recht steilen Anstieg über einen Steig vom Parkplatz Marien in Virgen aus, erreicht man die Gottschaunalm in einer 1 Stunde. Der Weg führt teils durch Wald. Am Ziel angekommen offenbart sich eine wunderschöne, gepflegte Alm. Die bewirtschaftete Hütte wird von sehr freundlichen Damen geführt. Nach einer herzlichen Begrüßung wurden uns Getränke und Speisen aus eigener Produktion angeboten und das zu einem günstigen Preis. Die Alm Hütte ist sehr liebevoll dekoriert, mit liebe zum Detail. A wonderful place. After a rather steep ascent over a path from the Marien car park in Virgen, you can reach the Gottschaunalm in 1 hour. The path leads partly through forest. When you arrive at your destination, you will find a beautiful, well-kept alpine hut. The hut is managed by very friendly ladies. After a warm welcome, we were offered drinks and meals from our own production and that at a reasonable price. The Alm hut is very lovingly decorated, with attention to detail.
