★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely loved staying at this place. It's in the heart of the Gesäuse National Park. It has been the highlight of my Europe trip so far. The owner and his family are courteous and welcoming. Their little daughter makes the place more lively! It's perfect for families and solo travellers as they have a mini kitchen in the room which it's equipped with vessels, a small induction stove, a fridge and a wash basin. If you get the room over looking the parking space and beyond, you're in for a treat! I was in room 8 on the first floor. Unfortunately, there's no elevator so you will have to carry your suitcase up.
This is also a perfect place to stay if you want to go hiking and do some water sports activities. There is no restaurant inside this lodge, however, you can walk up to the information desk just about 150 to 200 meters from the lodge. I spent a total of three nights here and was still longing for more!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location in the middle of the nature, far from crowds even during high season. Perfect place for hiking, mountaineering and also for serious alpine rock climbing. The room was clean, well maintained. Personnel is very kind. Our child was very happy while playing outside. Perfect and safe place for families with kids! Even weather was very "cooperative" . We have nothing to complaint about! For the whole week, we were enjoying outdoor activities in pristine nature.
