 Super nice hiking trail only unfortunately it was closed ? but otherwise great for hiking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sind am 22.7.2021 den Höhenweg gegangen. GROSSES KOMPLIMENT!!! Wieder super geworden. Haben im vorigen Jahr gesehen wie der Martin Lodingerweg durch die Unwetter beschädigt war. Danke an die Verantwortlichen.
Walked the Höhenweg on July 22nd, 2021. BIG COMPLIMENT!!! Became great again. Last year saw how the Martin Lodingerweg was damaged by the storm. Thanks to those responsible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Gasteiner Höhenweg führt Euch von Bad Gastein nach Bad Hofgastein oberhalb des Tals entlang. Ich schätze, für die gesamte Stecke braucht man gut drei Stunden.
Wer in Bad Hofgastein wohnt, kann auch in Gadaunern runter gehen und an der Ache zurück laufen. Diese Strecke ist für nur mittelmäßig fitte Wanderer in gut 1 1/2 Stunden zu schaffen.
Der Aufstieg ist etwas mühsam, es geht halt ordentlich hoch. Ich schätze, dass der Weg gut 150 m über dem Tal entlang führt.
Der Weg selbst hat aber keine großen Steigerungen, er ist sehr gut ausgebaut. Man kann ihn immer wieder laufen ohne sich zu langweilen.
The Gasteiner Höhenweg leads you from Bad Gastein to Bad Hofgastein above the valley. I guess the entire route takes a good three hours.
If you live in Bad Hofgastein, you can also go down in Gadaunern and walk back along the Ache. This route can be done in a good 1 1/2 hours for hikers who are only moderately fit.
The ascent is a bit tedious, it just goes up quite a bit. I estimate that the path is a good 150 m above the valley.
However, the path itself does not have any major climbs, it is very well developed. You can run it again and again without getting bored.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Endlich ist der Höhenweg offen! Der Höhenweg ist sehr aussichtsreich und wunderschön zu gehen. Eine Möglichkeit: Fahrt mit dem Bus Nr. 555 zur Endhaltestelle "Grüner Baum" (mit Gästekarte nur 1,50 Euro) und dann gemütlich bergab nach Bad Hofgastein wandern.
The high path is finally open! The high path is very promising and wonderful to walk. One possibility: take bus no. 555 to the final stop "Grüner Baum" (only 1.50 euros with a guest card) and then hike comfortably downhill to Bad Hofgastein.
