Anti-aircraft tower from the Second World War. It is very massive and is a spectacular sight for Vienna. Located in the middle of a residential area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The reason why these towers still exist in Vienna is because they are surrounded by buildings and cannot be easily demolished without causing damage to their surrounding. I guess that one day engineers will find a way how to tear them down effectively and use this central city spaces for something nicer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know how to rate these two horrible buildings. 5star, if you need a reminder of how ugly it can be to live at war and in total terror. 1star, if you consider their artistic value or their impact on the neighbourhood. It gives you shivers along your back to know why they were built and why they CANNOT be pulled down. A physical sore in our soul, and in our eyes. I could never live in those blocks of flats, having these monsters just out of my windows.
