★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great little gem Filzmoos is. Most people head to tbe Tirol but this sleepy little town is well worth a visit and offers the same beautiful, dramatic scenery as the more popular parts of Austria.

Adults can make nice long walks in Dachstein mountains. Views are super!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best experience for both kids and grown ups. I strongly recommend it. Try to go in the morning or after 15:00. They won't appear to much if it's very hot. Do not forget to take food with you (nuts, carrots, apples, bred).

You park your car down and pay for a taxi (20 euro per 5 passengers) that will take you up the mountain.
You take a hike down and on the way there's a huge cave zone where the Marmiten lives.
Do come on early morning and afternoon,
(We so only one at around 14:00,and when it went back to its cav e there were no Marmiten for the next hour)since when it's hot, the Marmite goes to sleep in their caves.
Bring carrot and peanuts (you can buy in the Spar in the closest town) with you.
