Die Lage ist bei einer eher ruhigeren Gasse, jedoch befinden sich rund um die Treppenanlage bekannte Orte Wiens, wie zum Beispiel die Mariahilfer Straße. Die Stiege besteht aus zwei symmetrischen Teilen, man kann sich also aussuchen, ob man links oder rechts geht. Die Geländer sind kunstvoll verziert. Auf der mittleren Ebene befinden sich Geschäfte und Lokale. Besonders abends ist hier viel los. Wenn man gerade in der Nähe ist, sollte man auf jeden Fall bei dieser Stiege vorbeischauen, sie ist wirklich schön, sehenswert und natürlich auch praktisch. Rose in Vienna. Benannt nach Marie Anna Fillgrader, der Witwe des Glockengießers Georg Fillgrader, der Elend und bittere Not der Bewohner im Grätzel so zu Herzen ging, daß sie eine eigene soziale Stiftung gründete. The Fillgraderstiege in the 6th district: chosen in 2004 by a jury of 80 art professors as the fourth most beautiful staircase in Europe, built from 1905 to 1907 to designs by the architect Max Hegele.
