Super bedankt
Groetjes van ons
We have had a TOP holiday. We were 13 people including 2 small children (1 and 3 years). There is a common room where you can sit comfortably together. The breakfast was really delicious with something extra every morning like (fried egg, French toast, egg muffin etc)!
As soon as we got home from a day of skiing, coffee and tea was ready with a snack.
KOEN AND LEVI! Super thanks
greetings from U.S

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In short:
- Positive: excellent location, friendly staff (Nikki and Levi), parking for car is nearby, clean.
- Negative: quite dated house, strange hospitality concept, ski/snowboard depot in the ski store beneath, no fire emergency plan
Long review:
We stayed at Ferienhaus Giggijoch for one week with a group of 9 people. Apparently you also can book this house separate whereby you share the living room with the other groups and have your own room. This is good to know if you only book one or two rooms.
The house was ok, but not much more. Everything inside the house is quite dated and worn. In the sofa there were a couple of tears and covered up with blankets. The floor was also quite worn. All and all the interior was more than authentic (in a bad way). Also was there nothing prepared for a possible fire; 1 fire extinguishers for the whole house, no smoke alarms and no escape routes. The front door is always open and the living room is for everybody accessible.
The rooms had all their own bathrooms and there was enough space. Most of them had a (shared) balcony. But again, the beds were not the best and the bathroom was dated. In the rooms without shower cabin you had to step in a bath without shower curtain and hold the shower head in your hand.
The ski's and snowboards with the boots and shoes had to be stored in the depot that was in the ski store beneath the house. This was chaotic and far from ideal. The depot was not prepared for a group of 9 that wanted to get their ski's and snowboards at the same time in the morning. Also the checking in at the depot at the first day was hectic and it seemed like they hadn't have a clue what to do with us. The ski's/snowboards and boots/shoe's are not allowed in the house itself.
Then we have the concept of the house. The breakfast is catered and quite good. That was well done, (thank you Nikki and Levi). The diner is in this house not catered, while this is the case in other houses. Therefore you have to go out dining out every day or pick up some pizza's nearby. This is not a big problem, but good to know when you book this house. What is strange however is that you can't bring your own foods and drinks in the living room. You have to cope with the drinks and food that is in the mini bar. This is not that extensive so you do want to eat your own snacks in a while, something different that snickers/mars/pringles etc.. Prices are fair, 2 euro for a beer (500ml). You can't cook in the kitchen for yourself and you actually aren't allowed in the kitchen.
As said, the living room is freely accessible for everybody and the staff walks by once in a while. Depending of who you ask this can be a good of bad thing, but you won't have the house all for the group.
The location of the house is perfect, a 1 minute walk from the giggijochbahn. Also can you park your car at the parking garage of the giggijochbahn, which is free and there are enough spaces. When you have a high car with a skibox you have to park on the parking in front of the parking garage, not a problem and there were enough spaces.
We feel that the price we paid was not in proportion for what we got, but have to be said that were with 9 people and paid for 13/14 people as that is the fixed price for the house.
All and all can this house be an excellent if the owner renovates it and makes it more up to date. The location is perfect and the staff is very good and will do everything for you.
