You'll get to experience a variety of simulated environments, including streets, parks and mountains, and in doing so gain incredible insight into how people who are blind live. Major props to our tour guide, Harold, who always made sure everyone was doing okay and who would give crisp, clear instructions (making it easy for me, as an intermediate level German speaker, to understand).
G	Gregor Petri on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dialogue in the Dark is a social franchise product of Dialogue Social Enterprise GmbH (DSE), alongside Dialogue in Silence and Dialogue with Time, and was originally conceived by Andreas Heinecke. With the aim of bringing sighted people closer to the everyday lives of people with blindness and enabling an eye-to-eye encounter, the exhibition has been shown in over 30 countries and more than 130 cities since its inception in 1988 and has already reached more than 9 million visitors. The exhibitions have also created some 9,000 job opportunities for blind and visually impaired people. Blind people guide groups of visitors through the completely darkened exhibition. Here they experience recreated everyday situations, such as a park, a cityscape or a bar, with scents, wind, temperatures, sounds and textures. The concept includes a role reversal in which blind people provide orientation for the visitors and they are taken out of their usual perception routines.

You get to know your senses much better in the dark and should try it for yourself for sure. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF THE DARK!
