His Majesty's candy provider's salon did change a lot due to covid, and apparently, in the worst of the lockdown, they kept open serving freshly made Kaiserschmarren and Buchteln to go (respectively warm, freshly made pancakes, and warm brooches with a plum paste filling), and those stations remain, allowing us a peek into their preparation. There's a reduced menu (gone are the mini brooches with different fillings, cookies pastries and a few other things) but the assortment is still impeccable, and delicious! The shop was moved to the back where we used to be able to see the artisans working with fondant for all kinds of spectacular wedding, anniversary or other occasions cakes. It's now bigger, and the section with cakes is smaller. I spied a few classic ones, though. Probably worth visiting. The quality is amazing but the prices will make you flinch.

Good thing is we didn't have to wait long, only 5 minutes. Friendly staff. Very chique place with a fantastic interior. The cakes and coffee were alright, but nothing special. It's definitely the design of the place and the experience you pay for.

Fancy historical and traditional Viennese coffee cake shop. It was a quick visit with a great service and delicious cappuccino, I’ll back again to try the apple strudel

Really like Demel and have been on several occasions. The scrambled eggs are excellent. The menu is quite small but it is sufficient. The service was quite quick and helpful. The prices are quite high but this is too be expected given the history etc. The venue itself is nice and has character. It's definitely worth a visit if you come to Vienna. I've removed a star due to the need to show a covid vaccine pass, entirely unnecessary. Also some of the take away products in the shop are incredibly expensive which ultimately deters you from buying anything. However these are minor points. Recommended.

Always a long queue to get in but this is because of good food. Hot chocolate drink, apple strudel and chocolate cake, it was super good. More seating inside though al fresco seating in warmer months. Overall cosy and thoughtful design- paying at the kassa is also a nice experience as you are not just waiting but look at more desserts while waiting.

A nice fancy historical and traditional Viennese coffee cake shop. The cakes are very good and it's less sweeter than the other cake shops in town, so it's good. At the pricer side, so visiting here at least once is recommended :) The apple strudel is must! Bon Appetit!

A really fancy and traditional Viennese pastry shop where you can try the worldwide famous Sachertorte. I tried it and it was spongy and not super sweet (which for me is a good thing). The staff was attentive and friendly. You definitely should visit this place and live the fancy Viennese experience. The line to get in may be long, so I recommend having enough time.

This cafe is such a beautiful Viennese landmark and is well worth a visit. A coffee and a cake will set you back around 14-20€ each but it's definitely worth it The queue took us around 20 minutes to get through and the service was great. Our cakes and coffees looked very elegant and tasted great To finish, we popped to the Cafe's shop, where we bought some chocolate as a reminder of our visit
