As a unique selling point, your "courtyard" unites a historical ambience, rustic cosiness and top cuisine in an ideal way. All of our expectations have been exceeded. Everyone was thrilled. D	Dieter Riedel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Einfach nur phantastisch. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Sehr schöne Gästezimmer, tolle Lage, egal ob im Sommer oder Winter, hier ist es immer schön. Auch das Restaurant. Hervorragendes Essen zu absolut fairen Preisen. Und hier ist immer Stimmung. Just fantastic. Everything is just right here. Very nice guest rooms, great location, whether in summer or winter, it's always nice here. The restaurant too. Excellent food at absolutely fair prices. And there is always mood here.

Urige Gemütlichkeit, saubere und schöne Zimmer und ein herzliches Verhältnis zu den Wirtsleuten machen unseren Aufenthalt immer schön. In drei Tagen werden wir zur jährlichen Motorradtour wieder dort sein und darauf freuen wir uns. Viele liebe Grüße Bernd, Frank, Klaus We have been guests at the Defereggerhof with our motorcycle group for many years. Quaint cosiness, clean and beautiful rooms and a warm relationship with the hosts always make our stay nice. S	Stephan Ritschel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zum Hotelbetrieb kann ich nichts sagen, da wir seit fast 40 Jahren eine andere Unterkunft im Tal haben. Allerdings hört man da nichts Schlechtes. Somit bezieht sich meine Rezension nur auf den Gastrobereich. Der Defereggerhof ist wohl der älteste Gasthof im Tal. Genau das macht einen großen Teil des Charmes aus, den dieses Lokal auf mich ausübt. Was die Dielen in der Gaststube wohl alles zu erzählen hätten, wenn sie denn reden könnten? Die Wirtsleute sind auf ihre Art sehr herzlich und auch immer mal für 'nen blöden Spruch zu haben. Das mag nicht jedermanns Sache sein, passt aber wunderbar zum Ambiente des Lokals. Ach ja: Wer sich hier über das Essen beklagt, hat noch nie die Schäufele probiert! Auch mit allen anderen Gerichten waren wir immer zufrieden. Die Preise sind ebenfalls völlig okay. Wer ein nobles Restaurant mit halbvollen, künstlerisch angerichteten Tellern und höflich distanzierte Bedienung bevorzugt, ist hier verkehrt. Aber ich glaube, dann fährt man eh nicht in dieses Tal. Ich komme auf jeden Fall gern wieder! I can't comment on the hotel business, as we've had other accommodations in the valley for almost 40 years. However, you don't hear anything bad. So my review only refers to the catering sector. The Defereggerhof is probably the oldest inn in the valley. This is exactly what makes up a large part of the charm that this place exerts on me. What would the floorboards in the dining room have to tell if they could talk? The innkeepers are very cordial in their own way and are always up for a stupid saying. That may not be for everyone, but it goes wonderfully with the ambience of the restaurant. Oh yes: Anyone who complains about the food here has never tried the Schäufele! We were always satisfied with all the other dishes as well. The prices are also completely okay. Anyone who prefers a classy restaurant with half-full, artistically arranged plates and politely detached service is wrong here. But I think you won't go into this valley anyway. I would definitely like to come back!
