Posto molto caratteristico, imperdibile se si passa da questa piccola valle dell'Austria. Excellent cuisine and very friendly and kind owners. Excellent cheese soup and steak with roasted potatoes. Very characteristic place, unmissable if you pass through this small valley of Austria.

C	Christof Holzer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nach langer Suche nach einem passenden Gastonomiebetrieb der auch Fondue anbietet, sind wir auf den unscheinbaren Bruggenwirt in St. Veit im Defereggen gestoßen. Wir waren gesamt sieben Personen. Der Abend war einfach perfekt. Sehr freundliche, schnelle und zuvorkommende Bedienung von den Gastgebern persönlich. Zu Beginn gabs einen kleinen, feinen Gruß des Hauses mit gebratenen Kürbis und Frischkäse gefolgt von einem sehr gut marinierten gemischten Salat. Mit dabei reichlich an verschiedensten Beilagen von perfekter Qualität. Fleisch war ebenfalls mehr als genug, Saucen waren selbst gemacht und mal was anderes, als die Standardsaucen die man kennt. Als Zugabe gabs am Ende hin noch die Rindssuppe mit Cherry serviert. Das ganze für einen sehr guten Preis. Ambiente ist mehr als nur angenehm mit einem offenen Kamin im Gastraum und urig eingerichtet. Einfach nur eine klare Empfehlung!!!!! After a long search for a suitable restaurant that also offers fondue, we came across the inconspicuous Bruggenwirt in St. Veit im Defereggen. We were seven people in total. The evening was just perfect. Very friendly, fast and courteous service from the hosts personally. At the beginning there was a small, fine greeting from the house with fried pumpkin and cream cheese followed by a very well marinated mixed salad. With plenty of different side dishes of perfect quality. Meat was also more than enough, sauces were homemade and something different than the standard sauces you know. As an encore, there was the beef soup served with cherry at the end. All for a very good price. The ambience is more than just pleasant with an open fireplace in the guest room and rustic furnishings. Just a clear recommendation !!!!!

Die Zimmer waren außerdem sehr sauber und top ausgestattet! Wir haben unsere Zeit hier wirklich genossen und würden gerne möglichst bald wieder Gäste im Bruggenwirt sein. During our stay at the Bruggenwirt, we particularly liked the excellent food (greetings to the kitchen ?). The rooms were also very clean and well equipped! We really enjoyed our time here and would like to be guests at the Bruggenwirt again as soon as possible.
