★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This should have been our first day on the slopes of St Anton; our first family ski trip...
Unfortunately, rather than opt for a larger operator, I Googled ‘boutique chalets’ and came across Ski Boutique. Turns out they are no more than a booking agent for Petersfield-based Kaluma Travel.
Having cancelled our holiday, paid for weeks in advance, guess what? Zero refund; no alternative date offered; no offer made to us; nada; nothing....
Yet here’s the thing... In the price paid, clearly there’s an element of cost and profit. In cancelling the trip; no food / drink / staff / heat / lighting costs - what wonderful incremental profit! Both companies have chosen to keep everything, shamelessly profiteering, at our considerable expense...
When life returns to ‘normal’, I’d implore you to avoid using these companies for your travel plans. Their stance, at this time, when we read so many wonderful stories of support, is at best opportunistic, more aptly verging on immoral.
Please - steer clear of Ski Boutique and Kaluma Travel. Between them I’m unsure who is responsible, as neither party is willing to take accountability.
I look forward to organising our 2021, 2022 and beyond ski trips with a more reputable company.
