Wer in der Umgebung vom Achensee ist, sollte sich die sehr schön gepflegte und saubere St. Notburgakirche anschauen!! Die Hl. Notburga, der diese Kirche geweiht ist, war eine einfache - gewöhnliche Frau aus dem Stand der Mägde und Hausangestellten. Notburga wurde wegen ihrer Treue und Arbeitsamkeit sehr geschätzt. Von den Armen wegen ihrer Mildtätigkeit sehr geliebt und wegen ihres frommen Lebenswandel von allen verehrt! Die Hl. Notburga war eine Kämpferin für die Armen, deshalb hat sie sich - in einmaliger Weise - auch gegen den Widerstand der "höheren - etablierten Gesellschaft" durchgesetzt!! Bei Betreten der Kirche scheint es fast so, als würde die Hl. Notburga einen entgegenkommen, obwohl man beim 1. Anblick zum Altar - ein wenig erschrickt -, da ein sehr schön bekleidetes Skelett nicht alle Tage zum Vorschein kommt und schon gar nicht am "Hochaltar!" Der lichtdurchflutete helle Kirchenraum mit seinen sehr schönen Stuck und sehr schönen Bildern, wirkt fast wie eine Spiegelung der reinen Seele der bescheidenen Magd St. Notburga!
