We ordered a dish with eggs and cheese which was quite good. The drinks weren’t too bad but it was quite overpriced and the waiter looked absolutely grumpy. It ruins the upbeat mood of the table.

During the lockdown , they are offering punsch to go and coffee to go.. Really nice service and near the city center It's a nice place to sit but if you wanna enjoy Christmas drinks during lockdown, then hummel is your place

A traditional Viennese coffee shop in the heart of the 8th district, which has been given a serious facelift a few years ago. The traditional character is well preserved, waiters are still wearing the more formal black suits. The inside of the café is cosy with several separated areas, whilst the outside seating is on a small “square”. Typical Viennese food is served with a few modern additions. The café is frequented by locals, but also popular with expats. I highly recommend it.

Cafe Hummel is a Viennese classic café and restaurant. They have an outside area to look at the square. The food is great although not the cheapest. But the price value ratio is totally justified.

The Maria Theresa drink is amazing from this place! The breakfast goulash is something you must try if you visit here. The customer service is not very good, we came in and were just ignored. The bald old waiter is rude.

Nice café with good prices and enough space. Friendly and attentive staff. The grilled chicken filet salat was tasty and well prepared with a variety of vegetables.

Cafe Hummel is another Vienna classic, including the elegant servers in black suits. The interior has been maintained for many decades, with interesting details, prints, and photography. They have the typical Viennese menu, with perfectly executed desserts, and a very fairly priced midday dish (~$10), which varies according to the day of the week. This Thursday, the offering was a chicken brochette with a very generous serving of Letscho rice, and was filling, and delicious. Good coffee, as well. Be prepared to relax and wait a little during the busiest hours. Lovely velvet and leather booths, and a soft vintage lightning. A must visit during your stay in Vienna. Take the 5 or 33 streetcar to Albertgasse.
