★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leicht von der Ortsmitte erreichbar - 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Klein, aber fein. Es gibt Metalltreppen bis nach oben zu der Fahne. Kinder waren begeistert. Sicherlich viele Freiwillige hier tätig.
 Easily accessible from the town center - 10 minutes on foot. Small but nice. There are metal stairs up to the flag. Children loved it. Certainly many volunteers work here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Windhaag ist wirklich ein schöner Ausflugsort, an der Schule kann man gut parken. Es gibt einen lustigen Spielplatz und einen schönen, aber sehr kurzen Weg zur Burgruine, der auch Kinderwagentauglich ist. Die Ruine selber lädt zum entdecken ein, hinter der Burg versteckt sich ein Teich.
Windhaag is really a nice place to go out, there is good parking at the school. There is a fun playground and a nice but very short path to the castle ruins, which is also suitable for prams. The ruin itself invites you to discover, behind the castle there is a pond.

Im Ort kann man fast überall parken und 5 Minuten bis zur Ruine gehen.
Very beautiful ruin, is gradually being restored so that it will be preserved for a longer period of time.
You can park almost anywhere in the village and walk 5 minutes to the ruins.

Very accessible, well signposted. You can visit the ruin freely without paying anything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hier wurde mit sehr viel Liebe und scheinbar großem Aufwand an Eigeninitiative schon sehr viel hergerichtet.
Eine kleine Kasse in die man freiwillige Spenden einwerfen kann, sollte aufgestellt werden. Hier fließt viel Geld hinein.
Aber auch die Wege laden zu schönen Spaziergängen ein und sind immer wieder ein Erlebnis.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really enjoyed the visit to this nice and cozy castle ruin today! The territory is well maintained, which makes the exploration safe even with young children. We admire the hard work done by the volunteers. It was interesting to look through the photo album with the pictures of the restoration process, which we found in one of the rooms! Make sure that you download the HEARONYMUS app on your smartphone. It is free and lets you download audio guides (in three languages) for this and many other castles and ruins in Austria. We learned about this app today, at Windhaag, and are very happy, as it will help us in our future trips to ruins.
