Even without guidance (which can be arranged by phone) this place seems mythical and idyllic. On the way to the High Gloriette always a great photo opportunity.

Jahrhundert. Die Burg war bereits im 17. Jahrhundert zur Ruine verfallen und wurde in späterer Zeit sogar als Steinbruch genutzt. Dank der ab den 1960er Jahren beginnnenden Freilegungen und umfangreichen Sanierungen stellt sich diese heute als schmucke Ruine dar und lädt den Besucher zu einer Entdeckungsreise in die Vergangenheit ein. Wonderfully renovated and repaired castle ruins located in the northwest of Pörtschach, this contains the remains of a medieval castle from the 12th century. The castle had already fallen into ruin in the 17th century and in later times was even used as a quarry. Thanks to the exposures beginning in the 1960s and extensive refurbishments, it nowadays presents itself as a pretty ruin and invites the visitor on a voyage of discovery into the past.

Zumindest als wir da waren hoffe das nextes möglich ist sich die Ruine anzusehen. Looks very good from below, but unfortunately the ruin is closed so you can't go up ? At least when we were there, hope that next it is possible to see the ruins.
