Von der einst wesentlich umfangreicheren Anlage hat sich dank seiner vorzüglichen Mauertechnik der fünfeckige romanische Bergfried relativ gut erhalten. Der viergeschossige Turm stammt aus der ersten Hälfte des 12. Jahrhunderts. Die übrigen im 14. und 15. Jahrhundert entstandenen Bauteile wie der Palas und der im Osten vorgelagerte Torbau sind fast zur Gänze verschwunden. Lediglich einige Mauerreste sind im Gebüsch verborgen.
Die gesamte Anlage ist von dichten Wald umgeben.

Thanks to its excellent wall technology, the pentagonal Romanesque keep has survived relatively well from the once much larger complex. The four-storey tower dates from the first half of the 12th century. The rest of the 14th and 15th century components, such as the Palas and the gatehouse to the east, have disappeared almost entirely. Only a few remains of the wall are hidden in the bushes.
The entire complex is surrounded by dense forest.
