R	Rupert Porter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here twice, and both times we stood in the doorway for around 5 minutes, with staff walking back and forth in front of us and even looking right at us. They did not acknowledge that we were there, even arguing amongst themselves, and then even when other customers (at one point there was 6 of us all rammed into the entrance) were filing in behind us. It was only when I flagged down a member that they actually spoke to us. They also don't take card, and with their menu being pretty pricey (even by standards in Vienna and Salzburg), so you have to walk around with large amounts of money on you (this is a staple of Hallstatt in general, but you'd expect a restaurant like this to have a card machine, especially post-Covid when people don't generally carry cash on them)

x	x statho on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A traditional premise right in the waterfront, with original antique furniture, that travels its guests through time. The building is centuries old but everything is in working order. There is room for improvement in some areas, but the unmatched view from the balconies, the romantic atmosphere and the kindness of the staff outshine any weakness. We will definitely come back.
C	Colton Kvapil on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff here was so communicative (emailed us beforehand to share directions and confirm check-in details) and welcoming, and the building could not be in a better location in town. It’s a converted 15th century brewery, so don’t expect “new”, but things were very clean and in working order while still keeping the charm of being so old. The restaurant is attached (cash only), and they’ll gladly make a reservation for you if you ask. The fish we ordered was outstanding. We stayed recently, so take that into account, but prices were very reasonable given the amazing views from our balconies and the extra seating area we had in our room. They’re currently renovating the patio that overlooks the lake, but the view from that area is also stunning. Kind staff, good prices, unbeatable views - we would stay here again if we come back. Also, you might want to check to book directly on their site - I usually use travel sites to book for the rewards perks I get, but the price directly on their site was much cheaper to forego a night of rewards points, in my opinion. Maybe not for multi-night stays, but give it a look at least.
L	L. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hotel- Wonderful place to stay. Room was cozy and balcony towards water view was peaceful. If staying -Park at P1; exchange ticket for hotel ticket in machine; take free shuttle to hotel. Restaurant- Amazing food and atmosphere. GLUTEN FREE for CELIAC food options.

I just am sorry the restaurant was closed when I was there. The restaurant was a big reason I chose this place so I wish that I would have known that ahead of time. But overall was very nice.
