Etwas außerhalb und deswegen schlechter besucht als der andere Bäcker aber dafür ein Geheimtipp. Nicht von der alten Einrichtung abschrecken lassen :) bester Topfenstrudel von Wien Excellent baker. Die paar Schritte mehr nach Grinzing hinauf lohnen sich, bevor man sich aufgebackenes woanders kauft. Best baker in Grinzing and the surrounding area, the craft of the baker is still upheld there, you can taste it too. The few more steps up to Grinzing are worthwhile before you buy baked goods elsewhere.

Eine größere Auswahl an pikantem Gebäck und belegten Broten wäre meiner Ansicht nach wünschenswert. Außerdem ist der Kaffee hier zu bitter, wahrscheinlich müsste die Kaffeemaschine neu eingestellt werden, da zu viel Wasser zu lange durchfließt. Das freundliche Personal rettet hier den vierten Stern. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Every now and then you will be surprised with a taste. In my opinion, a larger selection of savory pastries and sandwiches would be desirable. In addition, the coffee is too bitter here, the coffee machine would probably have to be reset as too much water flows through it for too long. The friendly staff saved the fourth star here.

Das sollte natürlich nicht vorkommen, richtig ärgern tut es mich jedoch, daß sich die Zentrale auch nach 14 Tagen nicht bemüßigt fühlt, auf einen entsprechenden Hinweis zu reagieren. Schlechter Kundendienst, der allerdings weniger die Filiale, als vielmehr die Firma als solche betrifft. Schade! Nachtrag: auf Nachfrage kam dann eine Antwort der Bäckerei. Of course, that should not happen, but I'm really annoyed that even after 14 days the head office does not feel obliged to respond to a corresponding warning. It's a family business, and one of the few bakeries in Vienna that bakes completely from scratch, as opposed to baking fresh from frozen like most of the others, and one can really taste the difference. There is a slight difference in the price, but it's totally worth it! I have been in the Grinzig branch when we weren't in lockdown, and can absolutely recommend sitting down for the afternoon Jause, with coffee served in real China, with the glass of water and the mini cookie, with an apfelstrudel or the day's special before continuing your 19th district visit.
