★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir sind 5 Personen(Männer) –vorangemeldet, nach 6Std. Autofahrt, müde und hungrig– eingetroffen. Nach Begrüßungsschnaps wollten wir (warmes) Essen, das es nicht gab. Wir haben hinterfragt ob wir das Mitgebrachte verzehren dürfen. Die Wirtin hat schroff darauf hingewiesen, daß es hier keine Selbstversorgerhütte ist und es werden uns plus 10,–€/Nacht/Person (als Müllentsorgungsspesen) verrechnet. Wir waren damit einverstanden.
Sie hätte es uns auch freundlich mitteilen können.
Sonst waren die Umstände durchaus in Ordnung.
We are 5 people (men) -vorangemeldet, after 6h. Drive, tired and hungry arrived. After welcome schnapps we wanted (hot) food that did not exist. We questioned whether we are allowed to consume the brought. The landlady has brusquely pointed out, that it is not a self-catering hut and we will be charged plus 10, - € / night / person (as garbage disposal costs). We agreed.
She could have told us in a friendly way.
Otherwise the circumstances were fine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr schöne Alm mit guten und reichlichen Essen. Bedingung nett und es gibt viele Tiere dort.
Wegstrecke ist nicht zu anstrengend.
Very nice alp with good and plentiful food. Condition nice and there are a lot of animals there.
Distance is not too strenuous.

An alpine hut, beautifully situated in nature, invites you to linger, rest and enjoy. Good range of food and drinks at reasonable prices. Recommendable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simply one of the best dining experiences I've had. Me and my family will remember our meals here for a long time. Phenomenal quality -- most food is of own production, and couldn't be fresher. Literally had our eggs fetched for us from the chicken coop in front of our eyes. The setting is also unmatched - stunning valley, with views of the alm's friendly farm animals while you eat. The hosts, Sonia and Martin, made us feel very welcome. A fantastic place for families on a short hike from Glanz or Stein, or for hikers refueling after some of the more demanding hikes in the area. A gem of the Hohen Tauern.
(Oh, and prices are very reasonable, and portions generous)
