"Da die Kündigungsfrist für das Jahr 2019 nur bis zum 31. Oktober 2019 lief, haben wir Ihren Austritt für 2020 vorgemerkt. Ihre Mitgliedschaft endet somit am 31.12.2019." also eine frechheit wenn ihr mich fragt, aber zum Glück kann man andere hier warnen. UPDATE: Kündigung der Mitgliedschaft Aufgrund von Privaten Problemen... Antwort des Alpenvereins: "Die Mitgliedschaft wird auf unbestimmte Dauer abgeschlossen und kann zum 31.12. eines jeden Jahres unter Einhaltung einer Kündigungsfrist von zwei Monaten - also bis zum 31.10. gekündigt werden (siehe Sektionsstatuten)." Warum 2 Monate? Fragt mich nicht aber das erinnert mich jedes mal an Handy Anbieter. Attention to the termination: I quit after October 31, 2018 and that was not possible for the current year 2018 ... "As the period of notice for 2019 only ran until October 31, 2019, we have marked your departure for 2020. Your membership will end on December 31st, 2019. " So a cheek if you ask me, but luckily you can warn others here. UPDATE: Membership Cancellation Due To Private Issues ... Answer from the Alpine Club: "Membership is concluded for an indefinite period and can be terminated on December 31 of each year with a notice period of two months - that is, until October 31 (see section statutes)." Why two months? Don't ask me but that reminds me of cell phone providers every time.
m	maria mayer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eine schon lange ( mehr als 8 Monate lang) ausgeschriebene Bergtour wurde 14 Tage vor dem Beginn abgesagt, mit der Info, dass sie keine Bergführer finden!! Meine Recherchen ergaben ,dass es leicht gewesen wäre einen privaten Bergführer zu finden, die Kosten wären für eine Gruppe nicht viel höher gewesen als beim AV, da ja nur für die Gipfeltour ein Bergführer benötigt worden wäre. Auf meine Bitte, dass ich gern die Hüttenreservierung behalten möchte ( um die Tour zum teil alleine zu gehen ) wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass es keine Hüttenreservierung gibt / gab.!!! 14 tage vor beginn einer Tour im Sommer und Coronazeit..alles sehr eigenartig ! A long mountain tour (over 8 months) was canceled 14 days before the start, with the information that they couldn't find any mountain guides !! My research showed that it would have been easy to find a private mountain guide, the costs for a group would not have been much higher than with the AV, since a mountain guide would only be needed for the summit tour. At my request that I would like to keep the hut reservation (to go the tour partly alone) I was informed that there was / was no hut reservation. !!! 14 days before the start of a tour in summer and corona time ... all very strange!

J	Jack Jason on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Habe mir vor kurzem ein Splitboard ausgeliehen, Anleitung hat leider nicht zum Board gepasst, hab beim Alpenverein angerufen und wurde an den Techniker (Michael Kögler) verwiesen. Dieser hat mir sehr kompetent und schnell weiterhelfen können und hat mir übers Telefon alle meine Fragen beantwortet. Ist zwar mühsam gewesen, dass es die falsche Anleitung war, bin aber dennoch sehr zufrieden mit dem Service. Kann den Verleih nur weiter empfehlen, vorallem weil dieser in Skigebieten ca das vierfache kostet und die Qualität mindestens ebenso gut ist . Nachdem ich das Board retour gebracht habe, konnte ich mich noch kurz mit Michael unterhalten und über die vor und Nachteile des Boards reden, aufgrund der Unannehmlichkeiten bzgl falscher Anleitung gab er mir sogar einen Nachlass. Menschlich und fachlich einfach top!!! I recently borrowed a splitboard, unfortunately the instructions didn't match the board, called the Alpine Club and was referred to the technician (Michael Koegler). He was able to help me very competently and quickly and answered all my questions over the phone. It was tedious that it was the wrong instructions, but I'm still very satisfied with the service. Can only recommend the rental, especially because it costs about four times as much in ski areas and the quality is at least as good. After I brought the board back, I was able to chat with Michael and talk about the pros and cons of the board, he even gave me a discount due to the inconvenience of incorrect instructions. Personally and professionally just great!!!

A	Alexander Ortner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife signed up to be part of the community for climbing at Walfischgasse. This year she is pregnant and couldn't go anyway because the place was also closed due to COVID. Alpenverein is resisting to cancel her membership and is sending letters from lawyers. They said that she had the card and could use the insurance but I know insurance doesn't pay if you don't transfer the money so that's just an excuse and insurance wouldn't have covered anything anyway. I myself have been a long term member, doing courses and going to the mountains with lots of family friends who are also part of Alpenverein. I'm cancelling my membership due to this massive disappointment. Never again
