AlpenParks Hotel & Apartment Sonnleiten Saalbach

We found the hotel to be clean, warm and comfortable with well appointed rooms and an above average menu. The food was always well presented and appetising and the staff were friendly and well-mannered! The hotel is in a quiet location above Saalbach and away from busy road noise but of course this means that access to the facilities in the town are somewhat remote; not ordinarily a problem except for when hire equipment such as skis and ski boots are required. We found this aspect of our holiday a little difficult to arrange, finding it an uncomfortably long trek back from the town carrying such heavy equipment. We could have hired a taxi but this would have been a little costly! Of course the reverese was true at the end of our holiday, i.e. returning the ski equipment to the hire shop in Saalbach. It would be much easier for customers if there was a ski hire facility attached to the hotel or closeby, or perhaps a motor vehicle available to transport customers from the hotel to the town and from the town to the hoitel, at predetermined times on arrival and departure days!

The hotel is close to the center but surrounded with nature. You can go skiing in just 2 minutes or ride a bike. There are raspberries and strawberries close to the hotel and also a small river which you can hear during the night. The rooms are so modern, big and have a beautiful view to the mountains. There is a sauna and a swimming pool. The hotel is quet and far away from cars and crowd. Yo9u can rent bikes and ebikes.

We have been returning almost 20 years to the Sonnleiten hotel since the early 2000's. The hotel is completely new built since two years ago and this was our second stay at the "new" resort. We miss some of the old habits of having a specific linen clad table during our stay, however the service and food offering is still at a very high level. The heated outdoor pool is very nice in the afternoon especiall when snow is falling , however a common sauna next to the pool could be a further assset. Owners and staff is truly friendly. Rooms very spacious and comfortable, nice beds. Location could not be better for skiing. 50 meters to the slopes.

Don't expect any service after 20:00 at the restaurant even if you are staying here,they don't care if you are hungry. And don't ask for ice at the bar, they "only serve drinks" Just go into town. Not impressed with any of the service here.

Miserable service from restaurant staff! It was an effort from them us being in the hotel! Very disappointed considering this was the 4th stay at the hotel. Will look to book somewhere different next time

This is the second stay at this hotel. Everything OK as always. Very nice and helpful hotel staff. Super storage for bicycles. Good breakfasts. You can eat well in the hotel restaurant as long as you don't order Spaghetti Bolognese;) (ours was a misunderstanding)

Sonnleitenn Alpenparks offers a great self catering base with lots of room space and hotel amenities for either Winter or Summer alpine holidays. We enjoyed the outside pool, lovely view across the ski slopes, hearty breakfast and takeout food from the restaurant. It was handy having easy basement parking, and only a short walk (up and down a snowy path) to the village centre bars and restaurants.
