I would say I knew it was going to be “just a place to sleep” when we booked the hotel 2 weeks in advance of our arrival, so I was pretty prepared for it not being the best hotel. Unfortunately when we got here to check in, we were greeted by a very very rude person, who yelled at me and my husband while asking: why are you checking in so late?! I would say he was pretty upset, even though the website specifically points out that the reception is open 24h. It was a little bit past 2am, and he told us that his computer wouldn't allow to give us a room after 2am, but that he would “try anyway”. My husband continued to calmy (because we wanted a place to sleep) say that the website specifies the reception being always open. The employee went as far as saying that because we were there so late, he was considering selling our room to someone else (even though we had paid for it 2 weeks in advance). We felt very belittle and offended. In the service industry you would expect to be treated better, or at least not get yelled at for checking in at 2am. Besides that experience, it was some other things like the air conditioning not working at all, the carpet having stains, the sink being clogged... But as I said before, we were kind of expecting this when booking. The location is great though. Next to the tram, train and bus stops.

Now for what your paying the space you get for a room is amazing. Breakfast is not included and you will have to pay around 10 euros. My shower was broken yet it did work but not properly and there is no air con. Some staff were nice other were ignorant. Yet overall was a pleasant stay.

Let's make something clear: when you read these reviews, there is a strong contradiction. Some strongly complain about the rooms and some guests say that the rooms are fine. It didn't make sense until we stayed there. Let me explain: when we checked in and went to our first room, it was the smallest hotel room I have ever been in. The door barely cleared the bed. Also, my husband was trying to put our passports in the safe in the cabinet by the foot of the bed and I couldn't walk to the bathroom because there was only about 14 inches of space between the foot of the bed and the wall and he was in it. To get around my husband, I had to walk ON the bed to get to the bathroom. Yeah, you are understanding how small it was now. It also smelled both of cigarettes and of garbage. The furniture was a bit dated. I would give that room a 1 star rating. We were disappointed when we saw this room. We went to dinner and came back to the hotel. At the front desk we asked for a room upgrade. The lady was happy to help us! It was New Year's Eve, so we were lucky that there was ONE room available. We gladly took it. The new room was spacious and decorated differently (different carpet, curtains, lighting fixtures, furniture, colors, etc.) If I didn't know better, I wouldn't have even known we were in the same hotel. We were just one floor down and the layout of the room was also different. The contradicting reviews suddenly made sense. There was plenty of space to put three or four beds in our new room it was so big. It didn't smell at all. The furniture was newer and a nicer quality! There was a separate sink/shower room and a toilet room. I would give this upgraded room a 3 star rating. It wasn't amazing, but it was decent. There was some noise from the busy street. Also, we could hear other guests in the hotel. The room was clean and neat though. Also, the breakfast was good. We spent most of our honeymoon staying in 4 star hotels so I had my expectations set higher when we arrived at this 3 star hotel. For a 3 star hotel it was good.... that is, if we are talking about the upgraded room and not our original room. I think I got a bit spoiled staying in the 4 star hotels.

Super nice staff, the room they gave us was bigger and nicer than expected. There were no problems regarding to the condition as well. Thank you for having us!

DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! This hotel is a mess in terms of organization. Firstly, the reception closes at 17pm, which is ridiculous. They said they were going to send me a pin cod to open a safebox to retrieve our room key, except they NEVER SENT said Pin code. I tried sending a lot of e-mails, which Never got answered, and when I called (twice) asking for the pin code, they said they would send it. When I arrived at the airport, for my surprise, they HAD CANCELED my reservation, saying that the name of the reservation wasn't the same as the name of the credit card holder, WHICH WAS NEVER SAID TO ME TO BE A PROBLEM, they could've sent me an emailed or called, I would have solved it. So i arrived late at night, with no hotel to go to. Definitely don't recommend it.

They said they upgraded our room to apartment, the entrance was filthy dirty , it was like stepping back in time , the place looked has it it had not being updated since the building was built 100 years ago, part time reception area , bathrooms flooded and water came in to bedroom, avoid this place at all costs , definitely not a 3 star hotel, does not deserve 1 star . Wish I could post pictures of how bad it was . Do not waste your time or money staying here .

Excellent staff, good rooms at good prices. Since the reception closes at 5 and i arrived at 11 pm my contactless check-in worked seamlessly. The pin was sent in advance and I enjoyed my stay. Would come again.
