★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for camping. Super relaxed and quiet. The lake and mountains that surround it are very beautiful. It was a busy summer night when I was there but not too crowded to be uncomfortable. A lot of famalies and kids however. So younger couples be aware of that. Has a nice restaurant as well. Definitely recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Camping site with amazing views. You can have relaxing time at lake and have several activities done around all parts of lake. There are many paid facilities available at Achensee camping like electricity till your tent, standing board, hot water shower and sailing boats (which was temporarily closed). Wifi is free but just near reception area, other areas don’t have wifi facility available. Washroom facility is covered in rent which you pay for booking your camping place. There is restaurant at campsite.

If you are looking for something close to the lake and real mountain lake experience - that is it.
A Very simple and tidy camping - which reflects in the price.
Wouldn't say it is a child friendly as the bike path that goes along Achensee stretches directly through the camping and cyclists do not slow down - seems quite dangerous for the little explorers. Of course, suitable with the babies. Beaches are nice, lovely to watch divers, can rent stand up boards, bring your own gear.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful location and nice camp spots directly at the lake.
They had very clean toilets and showers, but a limited amount and very far to walk too. Also only point for trash, no bins around the campsite at all. Also no water taps. The garbage area seemed to be full all the time.
Also they only take cash no card and pay when you arrive.
Good starting point for canoeing on the lake. We brought our own but I think they rent out SUP boards.

The camp has everything you need and nothing more and that's perfect. I've spent a great night there travelling by bike to München. Quite place, it's not so big, even through it was full when we arrived it didn't feel crowded.
