Very nice and entertaining hike from the Stubnerkogel. Magnificent 360 degree panorama, only the horizon sets a limit to the eye and the technical aids. We were amazed that we only met very few hikers on the way.

Stubenkogelbergbahn(ロープウェイ)終着駅から左手の稜線の先に十字架が見えます。
Since there is an altitude around the end of June, there are cases where the mountain trail is off limits due to fresh or remaining snow. From the Stubenkogelbergbahn (ropeway) terminal station, you will see a cross at the end of the ridge on your left. There is a route to climb up and down, and a route to go up from the middle, and the latter avoids the peak, so I thought it would be easy, but it is difficult because I will climb the steep slope later. We recommend a general ridge path to the cross. If the weather is nice, you can also see Grossglockner (3789m), the highest peak in the Austrian Alps. Let's go down the mountain as soon as we hear thunder. The leopard-covered thunderstorm is amazing.

How can one rate nature? This is great place to see how far your boundaries go and test your stamina and power. Don't take your kids with you though, this place might be a bit dangerous. We enjoyed our walk up and the long hike down to Sportgastein afterwards, but it took us quite a bit.
