Great studio with classes in German and English. They also rent mats for 1€ which is great if you’re traveling and cannot bring your own.

I’ve been thinking about whether I should leave review given that I only went once while visiting but now in retrospect I wish I asked for my money back because 1. This place isn’t cheap 2. They should know better as a professional business seeking to deliver a quality service. Simply put, cramming over 20 of us in a small room where we were far less than arms length from each other during class is not, in my opinion, a quality service. Meanwhile, our instructor was teaching in this cramped room while sick. This isn’t relaxing - just full of anxiety the entire time. I know the larger yoga room was under construction but where were studio’s ethics in this case?

Pretty expensive for visitors @ 20€ per class. They have an introductory deal that's only for residents. The studio was conducive to all practices. I would not come back in the future due to cost. I'm also a yoga teacher and they did not offer a teacher discount like some other studios do. I took a level 2 class and it was challenging however I was expecting more.

For yoga lovers, and serious practitioners whether you are at the beginning of your journey or a teacher, there is a very very large selection of classes with incredible instructors. The studio is clean and extremely well located, and even though some classes are very busy, the quality of each and every class lets you walk out of the there with the “yoga bliss”. To recommend absolutely are the classe of Bruno Teyssandier, Rosa Stark, Joey Robinson... well all of the instructors, i can’t name them all! Well deserved 5-star, and not only locally but internationally. Keep it up !

My wife and I attended Joey Robinson's class and both came away saying it was the best class in recent memory. We don't know Joey. We're both researchers from Boston (neuroscience and public health) who dip in and out of teaching yoga ourselves. Our apt in Vienna is too small to do a practice so we find the most convenient class when we're here. Usually we're barely able to tolerate the egoism, false wisdom, and effervescent banality of most yoga teachers (here or Boston or anywhere really). Joey was different. I appreciated his ability to take care of everyone in the room, from beginners to fellow instructors. That day I needed to let out some pent-up energy. He worked in challenging poses even though this doesn't seem to be what he was necessarily intending at the start of class. He was skilled at spontaneously setting a table at which everyone could eat. Good flow, good alignment, focus on breath, kept people light and engaged. People seem to know all this already as the class was full. I never write these but it's so rare to find a good yoga instructor out there that I felt it was necessary.

YogaKula has a very warm and lovely vibe. The classes are taught by very competent and nice teachers. Eva and Anna are such warm-hearted and professional women that have created a little paradise in the center of Vienna. I just love going to class there with such lovely yogis and positive energy. I have just finished the 200h Yoga Teacher Training with Joan Hyman at YogaKula. Not only was the content (reaching from philosophy, Ayurveda, Asanas to Pranayama and meditation, etc.) very interesting and mind-opening, Joan also taught it in a way that is rarely seen in teachers. She is such a competent and mindful teacher that follows a firm and strict teaching method but approaches every single student in a very loving way. Our group consisted of such amazing people and we grew together in such a strong way that made the goodbyes very hard. Learning about the practice and philosophy of classical Yoga and putting the focus on the learning and growing rather on performance or competition was the key. YogaKula and it’s welcoming and lovely environment made this experience even more wonderful.
