Wörthersee Manndl is a figure who, according to a legend, was responsible for the creation of Lake Wörthersee near Klagenfurt. Namely, Manndl was so angry about many corrupt people and the sinners in the rich town so he caused the flood. You can see that Mandl is bearing a barrel under his hand from which a water was flowing. According to a legend all attempts to close the barrel were unsuccessful and the whole city was flooded. In 1962 the city of Klagenfurt built this bronze fountain in memory of the Manndl and the legend. In front of the fountain, on the sidewalk, you can see the coats of arms of the Klagenfurt partner cities.

The main street and the old town of Klagenfurt offer a mixture that - small town charm combined with the buzz of a bigger city. Really nice to see!
