The food quality is not the one to blame, but the atmosphere coupled with unfriendly personnel, tiny portions and ambition to pretend for the finest cuisine are blurring the overall impression. In case you are looking for a couple of spoons of complicated non-traditional food and ready to pay twice the fair value, it can be the place you are looking for.

The food was not bad, but not exceptional neither. They pretend haute-cuisine by serving some smaller portions but I have my thoughts.
The prices are much too high for the value you get. Prices are almost the double of another restaurant I did on the main square which had even better quality. Finally when I got the bill, it was not possible to pay with a banc-card or credit-card. In every Spar supermarket in the neighbourhood it is possible to pay by card. Fair enough it is mentioned on the menu card, which is published at the entrance. But I wonder why they are not accepting card, especially seen the elevated prices. I have my idea why, but I cannot publish this without proof.
As a result : I would not recommend it, as the final balance is too weak.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is the very center of town and probably the best restaurant in Rust. Maybe too busy in season and service quality gets lower. Gourmet food and beautiful seating in the garden. Nice local fish and meat dishes and very good local wine list. Prices are a bit higher than other places but It worth the difference. Even though it is gourmet children can have a good schnitzel.
