Gut begehbar. Parkplätze finden sich kostenlos vor dem Schwimmbad in Hittisau. Nice little hiking trail along a stream. Some little surprises included. The total duration of the circular route is around 1.5-2 hours, depending on the walking pace. Easily accessible. Parking spaces can be found free of charge in front of the swimming pool in Hittisau.

Unzählige Wurzeln schlingen sich über die Pfade und erinnern an einen Märchenwald. Es gibt verschiedene Stationen, an denen Kinder und Erwachsene etwas ausprobieren können. Zum Beispiel mit Wasser in Eimer spritzen, ein kleines Wehr öffnen und beobachten wie das Wasser eine Rinne hinunterläuft und ein Wasserrad antreibt, das wiederum eine Säge antreibt. Ein Highlight für Kinder ist sicher auch die Wackelbrücke. Immer mal wieder hängen Felsen tief über den Pfad und geben dem ganzen eine abenteuerliche Note. Zeitweise geht es treppauf und treppab, weshalb der Wasserwanderweg für Kinderwagen oder Rollstühle nicht geeignet ist. Allein schon die Wurzeln machen das Schieben unmöglich. Ich würde festes Schuhwerk mit gutem Profil empfehlen. Der Wasserwanderweg ist kostenlos. Parkplätze sind etwas knapp. Man muss weiter vorne parken und erst ein ganzes Stück eine asphaltierte Straße hineinlaufen, ein kleines Schild weist aber den Weg. Leinenzwang für Hunde. The water trail is great. You walk a lot in the forest and along the river, so it's ideal for hot days. Countless roots are entwined along the paths and are reminiscent of a fairytale forest. Sometimes it goes up and down stairs, which is why the water trail is not suitable for prams or wheelchairs. The roots alone make it impossible to push. I would recommend sturdy shoes with a good profile. The water hiking trail is free. Parking spaces are a bit scarce. You have to park further in front and first walk a long way down an asphalt road, but a small sign shows the way. Dogs must be leashed.
