★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dar Wasserkraftwerk an der Drau in Lavamünd wird von der KELAG betrieben und dient zur Stromgewinnung aus Wasserkraft.
Vor einigen Jahren wurde das Kraftwerk teils erneuert. 2011 gab es wegen dem Kraftwerk ein seltenschweres Hochwasser, da der Kraftwerkbetreiber das Wasser vom Stausee nicht zeitgemäß abgelassen hat. Binnen kürzester Zeit stand Lavamünd über 2 Meter unter Wasser. Das Kraftwerk befindet sich an der Ortseinfahrt und kurz vor der Mündung der Lavant in die Drau.

Some years ago, the power plant was partly renewed. In 2011, there was a rarely severe flood because of the power plant, as the power plant operator has not drained the water from the reservoir in a timely manner. Within a short time Lavamünd was over 2 meters under water. The power plant is located at the entrance and just before the mouth of the Lavant in the Drava.
