 A somewhat hidden, but very beautiful place, which unfortunately you can only see through the fence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Bauwerk verdient fünf Sterne, das ist art for art's sake, heute würde man einen Zweckbau hinstellen, damals hatte man offenbar noch Zeit für solch luxuriöse Ästhetik, deren Zweckmäßigkeit vermutlich eher fragwürdig ist. Vier Sterne deshalb, weil versäumt wurde, dem Bauwerk am (überhohen) Zaun eine etwas ausführlichere Legende zu widmen.
The building deserves five stars, that is art for art's sake, today a functional building would be erected, at that time there was obviously still time for such luxurious aesthetics, the practicality of which is probably rather questionable. Four stars because they neglected to dedicate a more detailed legend to the structure on the (excessive) fence.

Entrance in Vienna to the underground area of the Morlocks. Highly recommended, siren is just too loud.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein mystischer Ort - besonders am Abend - aber schön anzuschauen - ein Juwel! Leider gibt es keinen Gehsteig, dass ein Spaziergang zum Hürdenlauf wird. Die Anrainer tun mir leid, da sie immer wieder von den Fußgängern angepöbelt werden. Das ist keine glückliche Lösung !
A mystical place - especially in the evening - but nice to look at - a gem! Unfortunately, there is no sidewalk that turns a walk into a hurdle race. I feel sorry for the neighbors because pedestrians keep telling them about them. This is not a happy solution!

このモニュメントは、まるで日本のジブリ映画「天空の城ラピュタ」に出てきそうなデザインで、ウィーン19地区の高台にひっそりと君臨しています。
1908年に建設が始まり、1910年に完成しましたが、当時は人力馬力頼みで、大通りから60ｍもあるこの高地に、このモニュメントを建設することは多大な労力を要したことが想像できます。
オープニング式には、時の皇帝フランツヨーゼフ1世も出席したとのことです。

This monument has a design that seems to appear in the Japanese Ghibli movie "Castle in the Sky" and quietly reigns on the hills of the 19th district of Vienna.
Construction began in 1908 and was completed in 1910, but it can be imagined that it took a lot of effort to build this monument in this highland, which is 60 meters from the main street, relying on human power and horsepower at that time.
