Wander- & Wellnesshotel Gassner - Hadergasse 167

Starkes Wanderhotel - in Neukirchen am Großvenediger kann man viel erleben. Die Lage des Hotel Gassners bietet sich perfekt für Wanderungen an. Gemütliche, sowie anspruchsvolle Touren starten unmittelbar vom Hotel. Auch das Nationalpark Gebiet ist in der Nähe. Zum Hotel selber kann ich auch nur positives erzählen: nette Inhaber, die ihre Heimat lieben und Insider know how teilen. Das Essen ist auf einem sehr starken Niveau. Der Wellness Bereich hat eine enorme Größe für das Hotel und ist sehr modern eingerichtet. Die drei Tage vergingen wie im Flug. Wir müssen definitiv nächstes Jahr wiederkommen. Danke für die tolle Zeit.

Ich kann das Hotel Gassner nicht empfehlen. Der Wellness-/Spa Bereich ist wirklich sehr schön und hochwertig. Leider ist das beim Hotel nicht so. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in dem die Heizung nicht funktionierte. Meiner Frau war sehr kalt - am Abend und vor allem Nachts. Der Hauseigene Techniker erklärte meiner Frau dass die Heizung erst ab - Graden draußen funktioniert (an diesem Wochenende waren es ab 22 Uhr breites 4 Grad). Stattdessen stellte man uns einen alten Elektrolüfter aufs Zimmer - welchen wir das ganze Wochenende in Betrieb hatten. Das Bad konnte ebenfalls nicht geheizt werden. Das Genuss Menü am Abend, verdient diesen Namen nicht. Die Cremesuppe schmeckte wie eine Suppe aus dem Supermarkt. Weitere Gerichte verkocht- Versalzen- aufgewärmt. Aus diesem Grund haben wir uns für den nächsten Abend ein Restaurant außerhalb entschieden. Beim Check out wurden wir gefragt ob alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit war, diese Frage beantworteten wir klar mit einem - nein. Man entgegnete mit einem Mhhh aja, übergab uns die Rechnung und Salz in einem kleinen Glas und wünschte uns eine gute Heimfahrt.

Tolles familiäres Hotel. super schöner Spa Bereich, essen war sehr gut und alle Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich und sich nicht zu schade sich mit den Gästen zu unterhalten. Toll waren auch die wanderführungen mit Gerdi. So konnte man die Region super kennenlernen. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

Wie immer zauberhaft!Dieses Mal haben wir das Baumhaus gebucht, einzigartig mega kitschig denn der passende Schnee fiel auch!Perfekte Schneeschuhwanderung für uns Flachländler, perfekte Spa Anwendungen, Service & Küche wie immer ein Genuss❣️Die technischen Lücken im Baumhaus haben wir gleich klären können….stabile Rodel gab es auch, alles in allem perfekter Start in dieser Krise mit Schutz durch und durch!

Sehr sehr freundlich, alles sehr sauber und ein super Spa und Wellnessbereich mit viel Saunen und einem wunderschönem Indoorpool. Das Essen ist immer wirklich 1A ... Der Service ist super und es wird einem alles geboten was man braucht und wobei man Hilfe benötigt. Auch sehr zu empfehlen ist die sehr gemütliche Hotelbar mit super leckeren Cocktails. Ich komme hier schon seit meiner Kindheit zum Skifahren, das Hotel hat eine super Lage mit Bushaltestelle für den Skibus und liegt direkt an der Talabfahrt. Das Hotel hat außerdem einen großen Raum für Skier mit Trockner für die Stiefel...wirklich super. Meiner Freundin und mir hat es sehr gut gefallen. Wir können dieses Hotel nur empfehlen und komme jeder Zeit immer gerne wieder

SCAM! Don't book a double room in this hotel you could get room 101 or 102 which are near a 2* rating. Totally overpriced! We booked 2 double rooms in this so called 4* hotel, with a terrific website. Unfortunately we had only one double room that came near the pictures used on the website. The second double room was priced the same but totally outdated. Our experience: * We first got double room 102 which was totally outdated and not even near the pictures on the website ... it had only one power socket on the wall (we are in 20th century) , it cracked and you could easily tripp , outdated bathroom, outdated bedroom, ... * So we asked for another room and we got room 101: - Also not near the pictures that we got, but there was already some more space - They showed us this room in the morning ... when we got back in the evening it was hotter than hot with a smell so we had to put the windows completely open the whole night to get a decent airflow. - The bedroom was totally dark and instead of watching tv, you could see your partner live in the tiny WC/bathroom * We went back to switch rooms and this time we got the owner which was totally unfriendly and said that we had booked a double bed with bad and shower, we had nothing to complain and that we could checkout and go elsewhere. * We are going to Austria multiple times per year already for more than 30 years, but never where we treated this way and never did we encounter a hotel that overpromissed and was so over priced! * So we booked two suites in a nearby hotel which were of a real 4* star rating with friendly owners as we are used in Austria The staff delivers a good service and the food was also good. We had no complaints about this. Only the owner was really unfriendly. -------- We had one room switched not two, like the owner writes hereunder. If the owner wishes we can also post the pictures of this scam, a 3 year old can see that the website pictures are totally different than what we got as room. This has nothing tot do with feeling well in a hotel.

The hotel itself is great. Very good food, friendly and helpful service, lots of nice places to sit and relax, nice sauna and relax area, good bed, free parking, and close to the cable lift and many beautiful places. In September I also got a free Summerkarte which includes lots of good offers such as free use of the cable cars, discount at Krimmler waterfalls, free public transport and more. The only thing I found a real pity was that I had chosen this hotel - which cost more than my usual budget - because it offered guided walks, at least 5 a week. I purposely made my stay to be from Monday to Friday to profit from these guided walks. However, the Friday walk was late afternoon when I was already gone, so only 4 options left. Out of which 1 "difficult" hike so only 3 left. :-( On Monday I joined the low level hike but the guide went quite fast, did not really keep an eye on the group, at the breaks when she told us things the last people in the group were not even there yet. And it was on a path where you could not misstep even once, or you would fall 100 feet, so I did not really get a chance to actually look at the surroundings very much. For the Tuesday, suddenly the hiking guide changed the "medium level" hike to a "difficult" one last-minute. There was some issue with transport but I found it strange that she did not simply change it to ANOTHER "medium level" hike. It's quite disappointing when you've chosen an expensive hotel at 15 hours drive away, especially for the guided hikes, and then so many of the hikes are not suitable to join for low or medium level. I imagine the experienced hikers who want difficult hikes, don't need a guide anyway, so I don't really understand why so many of the hikes were high level ones. And guides should be more aware of the group and if the last people are also hearing the stories, and if they can keep up. A guide should not walk at their own super sporty pace, and should be aware that the participants do not all hike 4 times a week (or more) like she does. It also did not help that she expressed all kinds of bigoted, negative opinions about tourists in general and about "the Dutch" in particular, that makes you feel kind of unwelcome. But as a whole the stay was very comfortable and I would recommend the hotel. As said it was over my usual budget but the value for money was very good.
