Diese kleine Volksschule in der Heimat des selig gesprochenen Franz Jägerstätter ist ein Vorbild an Österreichischer Schulkultur! Neben den täglichen Pflichten des Lehrplans werden ganz besondere Kenntnisse und Fertigkeiten gelehrt! Dazu gehört die künstlerische Beschäftigung! Zur Ausstellung des heimischen Barockmalers Franz Wengler gestalteten die Kinder zur Auflockerung der Ausstellung eine Hommage an den Künstler. Dieser hat die Ureinwohner in Amerika besucht und auch gemalt, deshalb erarbeiteten die Volksschüler Masken für einen Totempfahl, Traumfänger und Porträts der Indianer auf echtem Leder. Das nächste Projekt war die Gestaltung der Schulfassade mit großformatigen Keilrahmen Bildern in den Farben des Regenbogens zum Thema Dreieck, Viereck, Kreis. Und das in den Bildern gezeigte Projekt war das kreative Ergebnis aus dem Lesefleiss der Volksschule! Nachdem jedes Kind sein in der Bibliothek ausgewähltes Buch gelesen hatte, wurden die HauptfiguRen dieser Kinderbuchklassiker in Bilder verwandelt! Von Pipi Langstrumpf, dem Räuber Hotzenplotz oder der Hexe Lilly bis zum Sams oder den Olchis ist alles zu sehen! Wenn sie neugierig geworden sind, dann fahren sie hin und schauen sich die Bilder in der Garderobe und dem Gang einmal selber an! Es ist der Mühe Wert!

This little elementary school in the home of the beatified Franz Jägerstätter is a role model for Austrian school culture!
