The first lesson I had with Catrina was at Filmschool Vienna. Already back then I realized she has the ability to sense exactly what a student needs in the moment to improve him- or herself. Today, August 14, the only thing that changed, was the place and set up. In one hour I learned more about me and my voice, than I did in the last 20 years. About what I'm able to do and what potential could grow out of it. Catrina never made me feel pressured, even if I had a hard time transforming her instructions. She didn't make me feel inadequate! She found a way for me to comprehend and get along with the lesson. In todays lesson I learned about: - Breathing Techniques - Facial Expressions - Position of Jaw and Mouth - Pronunciation - Posture Thank you for todays experience and for guiding me on this new path. Schon damals habe ich die Fähigkeit an ihr bemerkt, wahrzunehmen was ein*e Schüler*in gerade braucht, um Fortschritte zu erzielen. Das Einzige, das sich seitdem geändert hat, war der Ort und die Konstellation. In einer Stunde habe ich mehr über mich und meine Stimme gelernt, als was ich die letzten 20 Jahre getan habe. Nämlich, zu was ich im Stande bin zu tun und welches Potenzial noch in mir steckt. Bei Catrina habe ich mich nie unter Druck gesetzt gefühlt, obwohl ich manchmal Probleme hatte ihre Anweisungen umzusetzen. Sie hat mir nicht das Gefühl gegeben ich wäre unzureichend, sondern hat einen Weg gefunden, mich begreifen zu lassen und mit der Stunde fortzufahren. Heute habe ich gelernt über: - Atemtechnik - Gesichtsausdruck - Haltung von Kiefer und Mund - Aussprache - Körperhaltung Danke für die heutige Erfahrung und, dass du mich auf diesem Weg führst. As many of us, I've always been fascinated by singing and practiced a bit at home while lousily playing 4-chord guitar songs. Nonetheless, I've been under the impression, that unless you're born with a magnificent Ella-Fitzgerald- style voice, you'll never get there. Needless to say I was very wrong! I decided to give voice lessons a try and what I thought was going to be a 4-lesson-trial turned into a year+ romance with the power of one's voice! Catrina is a great teacher: she provides personalized guidance and critique in a nonchalant manner. Every lesson is great fun and no matter the mood I came with- I always leave empowered, energized and motivated! Very much recommended!

Catrina has been my teeenage son's singing teacher for almost two years. His confidence and skill have grown immensely during this time. Catrina is warm, enthusiastic, talented, and has that special element that makes her a fantastic teacher. I would highly recommend her!

Not only is Catrina an amazing singer, but also an amazing coach. I have taken lessons with her for almost a year now and plan to continue doing so. She is extremely versatile and can adapt to a great deal of styles and levels. I would absolutely recommend Voice Lessons Vienna.

I‘ve had singing lessons here for over a year now and the experience has been amazing. I went from not being able to sing at all and having no confidence, to singing very difficult songs and not hesitating to attempt things that seem out of my league. It‘s definitely a skill worth learning, not just because its fun and an incredibly useful skill in music, but it helps immensely with self confidence; not being worried to put your voice out there. I would recommend this to anyone, no matter what age or musical skill level.

Highly recommended. If you want to improve your overall voice performance, Catrina Poor is the coach you want to work with. She has the ability to explain every single nuance when it comes to the art of speaking/singing, no matter how abstract the matter at hand might appear. I'm an academically trained conference interpreter who has been working in the language business for over a decade, and yet Mrs. Poor was able to provide me with an astonishing amount of new information that helped me to improve my performances significantly. To top it off, she is a very kind and funny person. 5 stars!

Catrina is an excellent voice teacher: she helps her students set goals, leads them through the steps of proper vocal form, and makes the process itself enjoyable. Personally, she has helped me mature my classical vocal technique and coached me through a year of auditions and performances. She is without a doubt one of the finest voice teachers I have worked with.

I have been taking voice lessons with Catrina for over two years now. Having started as almost a complete novice to jazz singing, I feel like she has helped me in more ways than I can count. What I love about our sessions is that we can go from quite philosophical discussions about music and musicianship, to song text analysis, to posture, to breathing technique, to music theory and 'how to swing it' ... I also have benefited from learning from her about public speaking techniques that I can bring into my daily work. Overall, I cannot recommend her enough...
