★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s really odd that with half board they have no drinks available for self service at dinner, even still water, so well, we have to pay for it, but it takes 20 min for a waiter to take the order and then another 20 min to serve you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good hotel for the price we payed. Food was good and some days even very good (fish options!) Mario was our perfect host during dinner and breakfast and the overall kindness off also the cleaning and reception staff plus the good vibe made our stay even better. Welness is a bit too small for the size of the hotel but we were lucky as it was most of the days not full with kids. It is ski in and also ski out as the red slope ends right in front of the ski depot of the hotel!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly disgusted with this hotel and Booking.com. My family of 7 were supposed to travel to Austria from the 10th Dec - 23rd Dec 2021 when the Austrian government announced a national lockdown and banned all travel from the 22nd Nov - 13th Dec, therefore forced cancellation had to be made after my airline tickets were cancelled due to the lockdown. I know full well there was a non cancellation policy attached to our booking but we didn’t cancel we were forced to cancel, due to their government, it was totally out of our hands. The hotel we booked before our stay at Vaya gave us a full refund, Turkish Airlines gave us a refund even the Insurance company we used should we get injured or catch Covid whilst on holiday, gave us back our money. I have reached out to the hotel and Booking.com on numerous occasions to find some compromise between us, as the value of this portion of our holiday was R65 000 for 5 days, I can not afford to loose that money, we have been saving for 3 years to take this holiday. Should the hotel give us a voucher we would plan to take this holiday December this year, 2022. Vaya Zell am See will not even consider giving us a credit voucher and they are totally non negotiable. So basically the hotel got their money, Booking.com got their commission and we didn’t get to go on this holiday and are now out of pocket R65000.
Booking.com say it is up to the hotel to give us a credit note/voucher and the hotel says it is up to Booking.com
