You ask for a uber and the car just don’t come to take you and you have to pay a tax of 5 EUROS to cancel

I’m from the States...why did use Uber? Because Lyft was not available and I was not sure how to get from cruise ship to Vienna city center, including how to get a taxi to the shore of the Danube. Our Uber driver did not know to find us despite Uber app offering the Dock number within the Uber app. Waited 10 extra minutes, texted driver, called driver, who said he was not sure how to find us. Began to arrange for a bus to transport us when I got a text from driver that he would be to us shortly. App said 6 minutes and he showed up 25 min after that. We had not paid for bus yet, so we took Uber, and driver did not know how to exit dock area. We finally helped him to get out of dock area with our Google maps and we got to Vienna city center where he dropped us off 2 blocks from our destination (not because cars were banned in that area). He told us to walk the two blocks. I’m capable to walk, but why drop us 2 blocks from contracted destination? Needless to say, we hailed a taxi on way back in evening. I’m dropping Uber...again. It’s a shame that Uber does NOT vet their drivers in any discernible way!! I’m done with Uber...again! Deleting app tonight.

They charged me for a ride ehere the driver didn't show up for half an hour snd then i had to cancel because i was cold and took a taxi instead. For half an hourbit was showing me that will arrive in 1 min. Also, there is no contact number where i could reach anyone.

Dear Uber Customer Relation Officer, Last Friday (3 May 2019) I had worst experiences with Uber, Vienna. I have used Uber in many countries (Kenya and India) and have had never any problem. I am surprised that the bad experiences happened in the heart of Europe (Vienna), which is considered to be a fair place. I have used Uber in Vienna airport a number of times (please see my past trips) and I know where to meet the Uber drivers (One floor up the arrival i.e. Departure). I always book Uber while I am up at the meeting point. Last Friday, I booked Uber on reaching at the meeting point. I waited there for at least 6-7 min and kept on searching the Mercedes car with the car plate which comes on Uber application. The driver was not there. Then I get a message ‘wo bist du’: I mentioned that I am at the Departure on the road (one floor up the arrival). The driver cancelled it. No phone call was received from him, asking where I am. I get a bill of 10 Euro, having no fault of mine. The torture did not end there. I booked another Uber taxi from the same point and I got the message that the driver is 10 min away. It was too much. I cancelled it. Again surprised to find that I got a 10 Euro bill. If you reward 10 Euro to drivers (you call it compensation), as you do now. The drivers with bad intention find it as an easy way to earn money by using unfair means. This will give a bad name to your organization. Both the above episodes (see my trip history and for the date 3 May 2019) left me disappointed and then I booked Taxify (bolt) and came home. Certainly, all the uber drivers are not fair and they are indulging in cheating and unfair practices. You need to stop this, otherwise your company will get bad name.
