Let me tell you a story about Tribaun. The moral of this story; always let a Scottish girl pick your drink. Oops, I skipped ahead. Well, crap. I went into Tribaun because I absolutely love quality craft beer. I was surprised to hear the bartenders accent because I have only been met with Austrian accents on this trip. This had to be the most charming Scottish girl I have ever met. Her descriptions of the beers, although rehearsed, were accurate and descriptive. This was a girl who really knew her way around adjectives. Made me wish I was an adjective. Anyways, I asked her specifically for a flight with beers I could, virtually, only get here. I also told her I love IPAs. She talked about a few beers and I trusted her judgement. I'm glad I was confident in her suggestions because she delivered. It's a good place to get craft European beer in Innsbruck. Definitely go here. ADDITION: I went back a second time because they have pizza certain days of the week. I am a pizza snob and will only eat Massey's from Ohio because everything my friends recommend is disgusting, wet and down right gross. This place makes amazing pizzas. Absolutely delicious and fairly priced. Crispy crust baked at the perfect texture. It was so good, I ordered another to go. I'm getting so fat this month. Absolutely eat and drink here.

Have to say, I was surprised to find a beer bar like this in Europe based on what I had read. They have a rotating list of about 20 beers of different styles that change out daily (we came here twice on our 2 days in Innsbruck). There is also wine and booze for the non-beer drinkers, but enough variety of beer where it shouldn’t be a big issue. The food is also very tasty, with a variety of pizzas, sandwiches, surprisingly good nachos and pretzels (we confirmed the nachos and pizzas were great). Bartenders know their beers and make good recommendations, and the prices are very reasonable. Will absolutely come back the next time we pass through Innsbruck.

In our group we had someone with a craft beer desire so we decided to ask around and were recommended several times by different people to visit Tribaun. The place definitely had a large selection of beers on tap with local brewers doing pretty authentic craft beer. My only complaint would be that some of the beers were warm and that could have been both a combination of the heat wave that was happening at the time and the fact that we had visited when they literally just opened the doors. Despite that, the place is oozing with an eclectic charm and cheerful bar staff who are happy to take time and walk you through the menu. Would definitely recommend.

If you love to try new beers, this is the perfect place for you in Innsbruck. Great atmosphere with a relaxed crowd. Sometimes there even is live music.

Great environment, great reasonable prices. It's self service and people working there are very kind and happy to serve you.
