We had an outdoor summer performance due to the Corona measures. Tickets purchased before the measures and then invited to this small performance outdoors in the wonderful schonbrunn Park in the evening. The marionettes were almost human and sooo freaking good in their movements that it seemed to be real actors. One could see and feel their emotions even though this could only be done by the movements. Our children age 11 and 13 loved it, although with live music it would have been even more overwhelming. If you have a chance to see the performance, don't hesitate. It is in German by the way, so it's best if you speak it yourself.

Really interesting performances. When you come in, they explain and show you videos about the making of the puppets and the art of learning how to use them. Every little detail is taken care of and the show itself is just wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a world we had no idea existed. I don't recommend going with small kids who don't speak German because the shows are quite long.

A rare and very unique experience. Beautifully sculpted with exquisite costumes. Rich operatic music filled the intimate theatre with the enveloping notes of classic Mozart.

We, 2 adults and 3 children among them a baby, planned to watch the Magic flute show about a month ahead. We almost gave up because there was no show adapted for children left for the dates we needed. Christin kindly succeeded to convince us to try the evening show and come towards us if it wouldn't fit. After a beautiful and intensive day in the Schoenbrunn palace area at the end of August, we ended the day in the theater. Following Christin suggestion, I have prepared the kids to the show by showing them three weeks beforehand an animation video on the Magic flute. The show is one of a kind. It was MARVELOUS! We ALL have enjoyed it so much and the kids could really appreciate and managed to stay awake even after all we did and the long duration of the show. The staff is extremely professional, experienced and gives excellent service customer. The music is delightful, especially the small bells. The dolls, clothing, scenary and accessories are all handmade and beautiful. I was so glad we could be lucky to watch this and have this experience with the kids with us. It is for sure something not to forget for a whole life. At the end we accidentally forgot one of our bags with precious staff and all our passports while we had to flight back the following morning. When we noticed that and came back, the place was already closed. With GIANT kindness, the owner of the place came back to help and open the theater so we can take the bag and get back to our homeland! I warmly recommend this theater show experience

A delightful surprise as not well publicized in the ticket office. There was no show but it was fascinating to see the puppet sets from the various plays - numbered with the index board next to the cabinets. Also the posters on making the puppets etc interesting. A cozy coffee shop too. Toilets for customers after the coffee ....

Wonderful show. We saw 'the magic flute'. Kids loved it for being in German. Front of house staff a bit disorganised but still well with a visit.

We saw the play ' The magic Flute' for kids ( duration 50 minutes ) in German. The staff was nice and friendly. They interacted with the audience and also gave a brief on puppetry - how puppets are made and how they function. The seats were fixed. Unfortunately we got a seat right at the corner because of which we couldn't get a full view of the stage and all the characters, especially when they are standing at the back. Otherwise, the show was nice and engaging. Kids enjoyed it. 50 minutes well spent.
