Jedoch sind die Büroöffnungszeiten nicht gut gewählt. The rooms are new and the layout of the living space is useful and appropriate. The supervisors are nice and communicating with them is easy. However, office hours are not well chosen.

Der Heimleiter dort macht permanent Probleme, stellt die absurdesten Regeln auf (man darf wenns schneit nicht auf die Straße vor dem Heim gehen, 50 Euro Strafe wenn man über eine Böschung geht, die nicht einmal auf dem Grund des Heims ist, Teile der Kaution werden einfach einbehalten und mussten Gerichtlich zurückgefordert werden, etc.). und denkt offenbar, dass Studenten alle nur Saufen und Dinge kaput machen. Anfangs wollte er nicht einmal einen Besen und einen Mob in die Gemeinschaftsräume stellen, weil sich dann, seiner Meinung nach, alle Studenten damit prügeln ??!!). Im ernst, ich kann euch vom Heim nur dringendst abraten. Es gibt in Villach noch andere Heime, die sind dann zwar nicht so neu und nah an der FH, aber dort fühlt man sich wenigstens wohl. I was in STUWO dormitory in Villach and can strongly advise everyone not to do it to me. The home director there is always in trouble, setting up the most absurd rules (if you do not snow on the street in front of the house, you can pay 50 Euro penalty if you go over an embankment that is not even at the bottom of the home) simply withheld and had to be reclaimed by the court, etc.). and apparently thinks that students are just ruining drinking and things. At first, he did not even want to put a broom and a mob in the common rooms, because then, in his opinion, beat all students ?? !!). Seriously, I can only advise you against the home. There are other homes in Villach, which are not so new and close to the FH, but there you feel at least well.
M	Manuel Zellnig on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ich kann mich dem Kollegen nur anschließen, das Studentenwohnheim ist der Horror. Es ist irgendwo im nirgendwo und ohne Auto ist man aufgeschmissen. Das schlimmste jedoch ist der Heimleiter. Er stellt Regeln auf bei denen man die Sinnhaftigkeit wirklich in Frage stellen muss. Sämtliche Partys werden von ihm mit Verwarnungen und Abmahnung gestraft außerdem darf man sich zeitweise von ihm anschreien lassen da er gern mal die Fassung verliert! Absolut nicht empfehlenswert! Das Angebot was auf der Website angepriesen wird, kann man sowieso eher seltener Nutzen weil der Heimleiter immer irgendwelche Ausreden oder Begrenzungen hat! Wer ein Studentenwohnheim in Villach sucht, sollte eher auf das Plasounig, das BFI oder eine Mietwohnung zurückgreifen. Ich hatte selber Freunde die dort gelebt haben und muss sagen bessere Zustände und eine weitaus angenehmere Atmosphäre mit den verantwortlichen Leitern. I can only agree with the colleague, the dorm is the horror. It's somewhere in nowhere and without a car you're stuck. The worst, however, is the home director. He sets up rules in which one must really question the meaningfulness. All parties are punished by him with warnings and caution also you may at times be yelled at by him because he likes to lose his composure! Absolutely not recommended! The offer advertised on the website, you can use less often anyway because the home director always has any excuses or limitations! Anyone looking for a student residence in Villach, should rather fall back on the Plasounig, the BFI or a rental apartment. I myself had friends who lived there and must say better conditions and a much more pleasant atmosphere with the responsible leaders.
H	Helmut Seibt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Lage ist hervorragend! Auch die Gegend ist sehr in Ordnung. Das Heim an sich ist leider nicht so positiv überzeugend. Bei meinem Einzug, war die Kommunikation der mit der Heimleiterin schrecklich. - schlecht gelaunt und wenig sagend drückte sie mir allfällige Dokumente zum unterschreiben und einen (zuerst falschen) Zimmerschlüssel in die Hand. Im richtigen Zimmer angekommen, war eigentlich alles in Ordnung. Hier und da hatte manches ein paar Kratzer aber nichts tragisches. Der Zustand des restlichen Heims ließ aber sehr zu wünschen übrig. Der angekündigte "moderne" Fitnessraum war ein Zustand. Für einen Hobbysportler wie mich ausreichend aber wenig motivierend. Sauna halte ich außen vor, da man sie im Zuge der Corona-Pandemie nicht benutzen durfte. Die Gemeinschaftsküchen waren in Ordnung, wenn auch nicht von guter Qualität oder Ausstattung. Das diese immer dreckig waren und keiner hinter sich sauber machte, ist jedoch nicht die Schuld des Heims. Alles in allem ist das Wohnheim ein sehr kalter Ort, mit einer wenig anwesenden und kaum ansprechbaren Heimleiterin und für ein Einzelzimmer um 427,00€/mtl. absolut nicht empfehlenswert. The location is superb! The area is also very fine. The home itself is unfortunately not that convincing in a positive way. When I moved in, the communication with the home manager was terrible. - In a bad mood and not saying much, she gave me any documents to sign and a (at first wrong) room key in my hand. When I got to the right room, everything was actually fine. Here and there some had a few scratches but nothing tragic. The condition of the rest of the home left a lot to be desired. The announced "modern" fitness room was a condition. Sufficient but not very motivating for a hobby athlete like me. I keep the sauna out because you weren't allowed to use it in the wake of the corona pandemic. The communal kitchens were fine, if not of good quality or equipment. The fact that these were always dirty and no one cleaned behind them, however, is not the fault of the home. All in all, the dormitory is a very cold place, with a rarely present and hardly approachable director and for a single room at 427.00 € / month. absolutely not recommended.
