★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good viennese Restaurant in the second district close to the Metro Station Messe/Prater. Small but still diverse menu, prices very reasonable for the quality of the food. Very friendly staff. Good to sit outside since there is not much trafic in the streets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service, bland schnitzel. Maybe it's supposed to be like that, then I'd be sorry for Austrian people. Large portion.
Edit: my opinion is final, I believe there are good and bad traditions. Austrian schnitzel should stay in history books.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TOP Schnitzel! Meat comes from Austria and is where possible even organic! Prices are more than fairly calculated. The restaurant is usually full of locals and the service team is very friendly despite the stress. We liked it so much that we were there on two evenings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic meets hipster in this sweet corner Beisl in the infamous Stuwerviertel. I ordered the 1/4 Gansl, prepared Sous Vide (!) and served proper with Erdäpfel, Rotkraut, Quitte, and Saftl for only 23,50€. The meal was perfectly prepared and presented, with the Gansl both flavorful and tender, paired with a glass of Merlot, per suggestion by our server. The service was friendly and attentive, while the ambiance upstairs was calm, clean, and romantic - nice lighting, with lit candles for every table and a clear view of the open kitchen. There's also a dining area downstairs that looks perfect for larger parties. I'm glad to have discovered this spot, which appears understated from the outside but fully delivers a gourmet dining experience at a fair price.
