★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Herrliche Wanderung von der Gaststube am Michaelerberg aus zur Stiegleralmhütte gemacht. Tolle Ausblicke auf dem Weg, aber: der Weg ist deutlich anstrengender, als er vom Wanderführer beschrieben wird. Das Terrain ist mehrheitlich ein Versorgungsweg, aber die stetige Steigung ist für ungeübte echt kraftzehrend! Besonders das letzte Drittel mit den Serpentinen.
An der Hütte erwartet einen ein Gebirgsbach, einige Sitzgelegenheiten, Toiletten und Kühlschränke mit Cola und Limo sowie kleinen Snacks zur Selbstbedienung gegen Vertrauen. Wir hatten nach einer 2 stündigen Wanderung die Almhütte und das Bergpanorama ganz für uns allein und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, trotz der Plackerei beim Aufstieg. Wir kommen bestimmt nochmals wieder.
Wonderful hike from the restaurant on Michaelerberg to the Stiegleralmhütte. Great views on the way, but: the way is much more strenuous than described by the hiking guide. Most of the terrain is a supply route, but the steady incline is really exhausting for the inexperienced! Especially the last third with the switchbacks.
A mountain stream awaits you at the hut, some seating, toilets and refrigerators with cola and soda as well as small snacks for self-service against trust. After a 2-hour hike, we had the alpine hut and the mountain panorama all to ourselves and felt very comfortable, despite the drudgery on the ascent. We will definitely be back again.
