The place is beautiful, the scenery is great, and the food is delicious. The breakfast buffet is just insane :)
With the hotel you get free access to many mountain lifts and other advantages.
But most of all, I have rarely seen such nice and welcoming people !
I'll have to come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our trip to Austria and I wanted to try a castle hotel. Found this place on the internet and booked an introductory 4 night castle vacation through their site. Really have no idea of what it will be like before we went. The hotel is in a very tiny village, but the hospitality and the food completely blowed us away. They upgraded us to a tower suite, really an unbelievable place. We felt like we are living in a place where you can only see in a European oil painting. The weather is not very cooperated, but we have done almost everything from hiking, gondola ride to the beautiful mountains and biking through the beautiful Austria country side. I cannot ask for a better 4 day stay than this. The food and wine are very amazing to us. Every meal is a Candle light meal. Many thanks for various help from the host. Austria is a great vacation spot and Schloss Thannegg makes it even a better vacation spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lovely experience here! Incredibly friendly staff and cozy rooms. Kitchen staff was also very accommodating when it came to vegetarian preferences or smaller portions. Just five minutes away from a wide array of ski slopes. Would recommend to singles, couples, and families alike.
