★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir haben die Route an einem nebeligen Tag gemacht und die mystische Seite des Dunkelsteiner Waldes erlebt. Da blieben die Reminszenzen auf das Waldviertel natürlich nicht aus und es wurde mehrfach auf den geologischen Zusammenhang hingewiesen. Die Felsen waren leider zu feucht um sicher zu kraxeln, aber ganz leichte Varianten haben wir uns nicht entgehen lassen und sind zwischen den Blöcken herumgestiegen.
We did the route on a foggy day and experienced the mystical side of the Dunkelsteiner Forest. The reminiscences of the Waldviertel were of course inevitable and the geological context was pointed out several times. Unfortunately, the rocks were too damp to climb safely, but we didn't miss out on very easy variants and climbed around between the blocks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ... eine fantastische, wilde Granitlandschaft mit sehr gutem Blick auf Weißenkirchen an der Donau ! ... ich habe hier die schönsten Strukturen dieser einmaligen Landschaft aufgenommen ! ... ein eher selten besuchter Gipfel, der sogenannte Adlerhorst, ist nur über unmarkierte, schwierige Steige zu erreichen ! ... in der Nähe, die Hirschwand, bietet den interessierten Wanderern einen guten Einblick in diese herrliche Landschaft ! ... a fantastic, wild granite landscape with a very good view of Weißenkirchen on the Danube! ... I have taken the most beautiful structures of this unique landscape! ... a rarely visited summit, the so-called Eagle's Nest, can only be reached via unmarked, difficult paths! ... nearby, the Hirschwand offers interested hikers a good insight into this beautiful landscape! Also to admire Sonnstein, Kienstockspitze and the rocks of the Kupfertales now in the wide angle format! :-) Better zoom in and comment on images using the Google input - Flickr Steidl Normann -
