★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Richtig schönes Wandergebiet, mit (für meine sonst sehr flachen Verhältnisse) einem bisschen Berg dabei (960m - ich hör den Bergwanderer laut lachen ^^). Für mein kaputtes Knie reichts aber, und so nenn ich den Jauerling nur noch den Aua-ling :). Wege sind z.T. Teil des Welterbesteigs Wachau und sind gut gepflegt und angeschrieben. Wenn das Wetter passt hat man einen wahnsinns Ausblick vom Aussichtsturm. Im Winter ein beliebtes Skigebiet.
Auf meinem Outdooractive-Account unter dem gleichen Nick hab ich mittlerweile eine Route "Jauerling Tut Gut Wanderweg 03, alternativ ab Zeißing! Rundweg." beschrieben.
 Really nice hiking area, with (for my otherwise very flat conditions) a bit of mountain (960m - I hear the mountain hiker laughing out loud ^^). For my broken knee is enough, and so I call the Jauerling only the au-ling :). Paths are partly Part of the Wachau World Heritage Trail and are well maintained and signed. If the weather is right you have an amazing view from the observation tower. A popular ski area in winter.
I now have a route on my Outdooractive account under the same nickname "Jauerling Tut Gut Wanderweg 03, alternatively from Zeißing! Rundweg." described.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Skipiste am Jauerling. Lift in Betrieb, Piste toll präpariert, liegt oberhalb der Nebelgrenze. Viel Sonne. Parkplätze vorhanden.
Ski slope on the Jauerling. Lift in operation, slope well groomed, is above the fog line. A lot of sun. Parking lots available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Von Maria Laach auf den Jauerling durch eine zauberhafte Winterlandschaft, was kann es schöneres geben? (am Weg hinauf so gut wie allein, oben ist am Sonntag bei soooo schönem Wetter natürlich einiges los, aber ist ja Platz genug!)
From Maria Laach to the Jauerling through a magical winter landscape, what could be nicer? (On the way up almost alone, up there is of course a lot going on on Sunday with soooo nice weather, but there is enough space!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir sind 7 Stunden gewandert durch Gegend. Es war pure Freude Natur zu genießen in vollpracht. Augenweide. Bewegung. Es gab sehr viele Pilze unterwegs. Einige Wegweiser können besser platziert werden. Manche fehlen. Gott sei Dank, es gibt gute Apps wie Bergfex App.
We hiked through area for 7 hours. It was pure joy to enjoy nature in all its splendor. Eye candy. Move. There were a lot of mushrooms on the way. Some signposts can be better placed. Some are missing. Thank goodness there are good apps like Bergfex App.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maria Laach : heurigen Kirtag besucht, recht mager, sowohl was Stände als auch Besucher betrifft .
Aber ausgezeichnet gespeist, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐( Schweinebraten) im Gadthof direkt am Marktplatz.
Einen Naturkostladen mit herrlichem Angebot gibt es dort auch!
Maria Laach: Visited this year's Kirtag, quite meager, both in terms of stands and visitors.
But excellent food, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (roast pork) in the Gadthof directly on the market square.
There is also a health food shop with a wonderful range!
