'Stadtpfarrkirche', the parish church of St. John the Evangelist, dominates together with the Ledererturm Stadtplatz tower, the main square of the city of Wels in Austria; its construction dates back to 888; it has a Gothic bell tower dated 1492, 99 meters high, with a large onion dome that stands out among the surrounding medieval buildings.
