Der Münchner Johann Michael Fischer stellte den Bau fertig. Durch die französische Beschießung 1809 brannte sie aus und wurde 1814 wieder hergestellt. Umfassende Innenrenovierung seit 1975. The gate hall, which is entered through the tower portal, reminds of the time when the church was first built around 1307. In 1703 the Gothic parish church of St. Georg was badly damaged in the course of the War of the Spanish Succession and was rebuilt in the Baroque style around 1725 by the Passau cathedral builder Jakob Pawagner. Noch jetzt überlege ich, welches Kunstwerk hat so einen tiefen Eindruck auf mich gemacht. A beautiful, precious Catholic Church.
