★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Stadtbefestigung von Friesach eine Stadt im Norden Kärnten ist wegen ihrer intakten Stadtmauer und dem noch immer gefüllten Wassergraben bekannt die aus dem 13. Jahrhundert stammende Stadtmauer zu Friesach ist von seinem Erhaltungszustand einzigartig in Mitteleuropa die Ringmauer mit trapezförmigen Grundriss ist rund 820 m lang die Stadtbefestigung besteht eigentlich aus der zehn bis elf Meter hohe Mauer und einer davor liegenden niedrigeren Zwingmauer in etwa neun Meter Entfernung daran schließt ein etwa 15 m breiter und fast zehn Meter tiefer Strandgrabe und das alles kann man zum Nulltarif bewundern und bestaunen in der wunderschönen Burgenstadt Friesach die sehr sauber und gepflegt ausschaut wir kommen sicher bald wieder uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.
The city fortification of Friesach, a city in the north of Carinthia, is known for its intact city wall and the still filled moat.The city wall of Friesach, which dates back to the 13th century, is unique in Central Europe in terms of its state of preservation actually consists of the ten to eleven meter high wall and a lower fencing wall in front of it, about nine meters away, it is followed by a 15 m wide and almost ten meter deep beach ditch and all of this can be admired and marveled at for free in the beautiful castle town of Friesach Looks very clean and well-kept, we will definitely be back soon, we liked it very much.
