★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took an intensive A1-A2 Semester course and although there were too many students in our class I found it really good thanks to the teacher (Sonja) who was very efficient, perfectly organised and fun! She was also quite demanding and knew how to motivate us to study. I definitely recommend the course, even though considering the amount of material to learn it is hard work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took an evening class there and even though it was only twice a week, it was pretty intense. The teacher was great and I had a lot of fun in class, but also a lot is expected. You will have to study, do your homework - just attending class is not enough. Also, they won't send you on to the next level just because you attended class. To state the obvious: if you don't put in some effort and study, you won't pass the test and will be asked to repeat the level. There were some students in my group who got very upset when their tests were negative and tried to find fault with the teacher, institute or anything else, except for themselves. I would not have expected that in adult education.
Why only 4 starts? Our classroom was pretty small and felt very crowded. I would have liked a bit more space for everyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have taken two German courses (A1/2 and B1/1) with the Sprachenzentrum so far, and I was more than satisfied! All the teachers I met were highly competent and dedicated. I enjoyed all the lectures and I would highly recommend this school for all your German learners out there! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shout out to my two teachers in intensive german summer class 2020, Ms Chiara and Mr Reinhard. The corona situation have presented teaching and learning challenges to many of us. In my own experience, my teachers have done their best to adapt their teaching methods (online and on campus) to the current situation. They are hardworking, patient, and they made sure the safety of every student comes first. In response, I also put all my effort (doing homework/extra exercises) to succeed, to learn a lot, and to get a sehr Gut grade. In the future, I would like to enroll again to participate in the B2 level.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A1.1, a beginner group of 20 people in a small room. All the students had different level of German. Most of them was already with a base for A1, and the teacher was guided only by them, didn’t care much about the beginners. I had to learn every topic at home by myself. At the exam, the teacher told me that she was very surprised how I was able to pass it.., sorry what?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's really annoying when one takes so much personal time and effort to do something for enjoyment and personal enrichment, but all get ruined by some self-crowned "teacher" for no reason. Considering how expensive the course was, the center should ensure hiring professional tutors or taking measures when receiving complaints (which I know there were several from our class).
I agree with previous comments on teaching methods from the 1920s. The "teacher", sabine decleva, was yelling in class, much to everyone's shock, and repeatedly made offensive comments to participants, some concerning their cultural background or their person, which can be viewed as [you understand]. On top, we learned very little. She barely touched upon the course material, and the conversation was essentially her having a chat with her favorite couple of students. Those who happen to be in the country for a while and are advanced when it comes to speaking. No attention whatsoever was given to the majority of the group.
To be fair to other good teachers at the center, I will say that the experience very much depends on the professor. However, that does not spare the institute's management from the responsibility to correct such breaches in professionalism.
Sadly I got too demotivated after this experience and will stop learning German for a while. Now that the Sprachenzentrum has this negative connotation in my mind, I will certainly switch to another institute. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the courses here to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had courses from A1-B2 at Sprachenzentrum Uni Wien and I learned a lot. Eventhough my courses were online, I feel like in the real classroom. All the teachers are really professional, but I want to say thank you especially for Frau Lang, she made 4 hours courses fun and teach a lot of thing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ in short; Waste of money, do not do it. During the a1.1 trimester course they changed the teacher 3 times which was very annoying for such a short class. The first teacher, who taught us the majority of the time, was a very nice lady but knew zero english and I could not understand a word of what she was saying. I am here to learn german, but how am I supposed to learn German from someone who speaks only german? This is like teaching basic math using quantum mechanics. She also had the audacity to give me weird looks when I did not understand her. Realy?? I speak zero german, or why else am I here for? Their method of teaching is dull and boring. I showed up full of excitement but ended up depressed and annoyed that I spent 400 euros on something I could have done much better by myself using the internet and a 16 euro book. All they do is go over the exercises in the book in the class and then go over the homework together and that's pretty much it, in between the teacher explains in german only which again, I could not understand a word of. Ridicules. Hard pass.
