★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like Spar for always having fresh fruit and veggies. The meat and coffee options are also amazing. As far as daily experience in Matrei goes, I have to confess I don't always enjoy the experience, because the cashiers always rush you and some of the times they are so focused to scan your products quickly and pass to the next customer that they don't realize it's not okay to shove your carton of eggs or place the potatoes over your soft apricots. However, this aspects are not descriptive to Spar supermarkets in general (I've had better experiences in Vienna and Graz), from my experience, it seems to be something common to the Osttirol region.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Next to skilift with very democratic prices. Ready-made sandwiches, shakes and snacks perfect for the skiing. Parking is ample and service is fast. Food is generally very decent.
