Snowho is everything I could hope for when booking a small, cozy B&B in the Austrian Alps. It is charming, fun, accessible, friendly. If you are looking for five-star luxury, jacuzzi pools and 10euro beers, there are hotels nearby that you should reserve. If you're looking to make friends, to have a casual stay in a fun atmosphere and feel like you're staying with a friend who happens to be a great host, then Snowho is a great choice. Fiona and all the staff make you feel like you're an old, dear friend, staying in their extra bedroom for a few days. They do this to all their guests, which is why many of them return frequently. The hosts are welcoming, friendly and helpful, but not overbearing. They help you feel like you're at home or in the care of people who want you to have fun while they have a little fun in the Alps too. The common spaces are casual and friendly, a big fireplace in the main common room, a kitchen for preparing the buffet breakfast and the private sleeping/guest rooms upstairs have a mix of old and new, tastefully decorated and very comfortable beds and linens. I stayed in the sport room, one of the rooms that is a double room and shares the shower and bathroom with 2 other rooms. They also have a number of rooms with their own private bath if you prefer. Breakfast and coffee are extensive and replentished regularly during the morning if there's a full house. Eggs are cooked to your request if you prefer, and everything you might hope for in an Alps-mountain-style breakfast is provided. The location is perfect, 5 steps from the Zursersee lift, directly next to the slopes of Zurs, you can get on the lift within a minute of stepping out the door. Other Zurs ski lifts are across the ski bridge and Zursersee can start you on the White Ring journey to and through Lech and even to Warth, now connected by left to Lech. Below the hotel is the ski bus stop to Lech, or to St. Anton if you prefer to use your ski lift card at that resort. We're returning this winter, because it was such a fantastic B&B in a wonderful setting that we enjoyed last year.
